THE TECHNOLOGY RACE TO THE FUTURE NEVER ENDS. WHERE DO YOU STAND?
Every day, new advanced vehicle technologies are brought to market in the hopes that they will satisfy consumer expectations or preferences. Some will win. Some will lose. The ability to foretell how these advanced vehicle technologies perform with consumers before they are made widely available across the portfolio remains an untapped, competitive advantage for automakers.
The completely re-imagined J.D. Power Tech Experience Index (TXI) StudySM measures problems encountered and the user experience with advanced technologies as they first enter the market, affording automakers time to address any problematic areas before the technologies enter the “mass availability” stage.
Vehicle owners who possess the most advanced technologies on their 2020 model year vehicle after 90 days of ownership are surveyed. Technologies are prioritized by level of advancement, innovation and variation in vehicle contenting to ensure all respondents answer questions about their most advanced technology.
Make necessary adjustments to new technologies before wide-spread installation. This will improve the customer experience further down the lifecycle, impacting warranty, satisfaction and repurchase loyalty.
