The JD Power Canada ALG Residual Value Awards are the automotive industry standard when it comes to recognizing the vehicles in segments that are projected to hold the highest percentage of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) after a four-year period for mass market vehicles, and after a three-year period for premium vehicles. Eligibility for an overall brand award in either the Mass Market or Premium category requires a brand to have vehicles in at least four unique model-level segments.
A residual value is the projected wholesale value of a vehicle at a future date, typically the end of a lease. It’s a key driver of lease cost and reflects an automaker’s long-term quality, design, and brand desirability.
