Cadillac continues its steady march toward full electrification with the launch of two new battery-electric vehicle (BEV) models in 2025—the Optiq compact crossover and the Escalade IQ full-size SUV. The other electric Cadillac SUV—the Lyriq midsize crossover—sees only minor changes, while the conventionally powered Escalade gets a mid-cycle refresh. The XT4, XT5, and XT6 crossovers carry over with only minor changes.
On the passenger-car side of the ledger, the CT5 midsize sedan gets a fresh face, a new 33-inch display, and enhanced safety tech. Meanwhile, the CT4 compact sedan stays the course with no significant changes.
Changes to the individual 2025 Cadillac model lines are listed below alphabetically.
As of this writing, Cadillac has yet to release official information for the 2025 Celestiq, its hand-built, low-volume, ultra-rich, highly customizable flagship electric sedan.
The CT4 compact sport sedan sees no significant changes for 2025. It continues in CT4, CT4-V, and CT4-V Blackwing versions. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard; all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. Horsepower and performance increase as you move up the trim ladder.
The Cadillac CT5 midsize sedan gets a fresh face for 2025, sporting a revised front fascia and grille with vertical lighting and stacked LED headlights. Sport trims have a black mesh grille and surrounds. The performance-tuned CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing also get revised, uniquely styled front ends with updated lighting. Welcome lighting and quad trapezoid exhaust tips round out the exterior changes.
Inside, a 33-inch LED touchscreen debuts, providing a gateway to several new infotainment technologies, including Google Built-in and an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. V-Series models also get an enhanced performance data recorder.
Several new standard or available advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) debut, including active blind-spot warning, intersection turn assistance, traffic-sign recognition, and intelligent cruise control. Also, the available Super Cruise hands-free highway driving-assistance system now incorporates a driver monitoring system.
Lastly, three new exterior paint colors debut: Drift Metallic (V-Series only), Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.
Cadillac gives its flagship Escalade full-size SUV a mid-cycle refresh for 2025, with updated exterior styling, new lighting technology shared with the all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, a refreshed interior, and additional technology.
The 2025 Escalade, available in two lengths and six trim levels, has bolder exterior styling inspired by the Celestiq and Lyriq. Power open-and-close doors are available, and the optional 24-inch wheels are an Escalade first. New colors include Aegean Stone, Deep Sea Metallic, and Latte Metallic.
The Escalade’s updated interior features a 55-inch curved OLED display and an available Executive Second Row seating package. On the technology front, Super Cruise is now standard, as is a 19-speaker AKG audio system.
Excluding the V-Series, all 2025 Escalades feature a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine. The V-Series adds a supercharger, bumping horsepower to 682. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard. Rear-wheel (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) are available; AWD is standard on the Escalade V-Series.
Once the poster child for high-priced, gas-guzzling full-size SUVs, the Cadillac Escalade gets an all-electric variant for 2025. Featuring the conventionally powered Escalade’s updated look for 2025, the new Escalade IQ employs parent automaker General Motors’ (GM) Ultium EV platform. The 800-volt architecture delivers an estimated range of 460 miles. Two versions of the electric Escalade are available: Luxury and Sport. Pricing begins at around $130,000.
Exterior highlights include a long, sculpted hood, unique LED lighting, a sloped roofline for better aerodynamics than the gas model, and large 24-inch wheels. A frunk offers 12 cubic feet of storage, and the available power-door system enables you to open or close all four doors at the push of a button. Buyers can choose from among several different interior themes, there’s an Executive Second-Row package to pamper occupants, and the third row has power-folding seats.
Cadillac says the 24-module Ultium battery pack with more than 200 kilowatt hours of usable energy in the Escalade IQ can deliver up to 750 hp and 785 pound-feet of torque via the driver-selectable Velocity Max feature. Cadillac says recouping 100 miles of range should only take about 10 minutes using a DC fast charger.
One of the most prominent features in the new Escalade IQ’s cabin is the 55-inch OLED display that spans most of the dashboard. It not only contains the driver’s gauge display but also serves as the gateway to the SUV’s infotainment system, which employs the Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Google Built-in featuring Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other apps is also standard.
Unsurprisingly, the new Escalade will come with the latest ADAS, including blind-spot steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, an HD surround-view camera system, active parking assistance, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and more. A three-year trial of Super Cruise is also standard.
Entering its third model year, the 2025 Lyriq electric SUV gets only minor equipment and packaging changes. Cadillac enhances the SUV’s standard OnStar connected services package, the front passenger can now save two seat memory profiles, and Sport 2 and Luxury 2 trims get a standard rearview camera mirror and hands-free opening and closing liftgate as part of the Technology package. Additionally, the number of available interior ambient colors increases from 26 to 126.
Cadillac also revised the Lyriq’s all-electric range for the 2025 model year. Rear-wheel-drive models can now travel 326 miles, while AWD versions can go anywhere from 303 to 319 miles, depending on the battery configuration.
Cadillac continues rolling out new electric SUVs by introducing the Optiq compact crossover, now the gateway to the brand’s SUV lineup. Available in two trim levels—Luxury and Sport—the new Optiq features dual electric motors with standard AWD. Cadillac intends for the Optiq to be a global model, sold in over 10 regions worldwide. Pricing in the United States starts at around $54,000.
Notable Optiq styling elements include a sleek exterior design with a fast roofline, sharp body creases, a black crystal grille, a fixed-glass roof with an integrated moonroof, and 20-inch wheels. Inside, Cadillac incorporates non-traditional and recycled materials along with creative mood lighting. A 33-inch panoramic display houses the driver information and infotainment displays.
Like other Cadillac EVs, the new Optiq employs GM’s Ultium platform. An 85-kWh battery pack sends 300 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque to dual electric motors; four drive modes are available. Cadillac estimates the Optiq’s range at 300 miles and says the SUV can recoup up to 79 miles of range in 10 minutes with a DC fast charger. The Optiq features one-pedal driving and regenerative braking.
In addition to a comprehensive ADAS package, the Optiq comes with three free years of Super Cruise and a host of advanced radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensor technologies. The Optiq’s infotainment system includes Google Built-in with Google Maps and Google Assistant, and the standard 19-speaker AKG audio system features Dolby Atmos sound technology.
Aside from some feature packaging changes, the XT4 small crossover SUV carries over unchanged for the 2025 model year following a healthy dose of updates for 2024. Cadillac drops the entry Luxury trim, and the Active Safety package is now standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trims. Cadillac announced that it would end XT4 production in January 2025, presumably to focus its marketing efforts on the all-electric Optiq small crossover.
Like the smaller XT4, the XT5 midsize two-row crossover SUV carries over for 2025 with no significant changes. Besides the Platinum package no longer being available on Premium Luxury and Sport trims, the 2025 XT5 is the same as the 2024 model.
Cadillac’s largest gas-powered crossover SUV, the midsize three-row XT6 rolls into 2025 with a single packaging change. The automaker now includes Super Cruise and Night Vision in the Platinum package on the Premium Luxury and Sport trims.
