Audi continues rolling out all-new, all-electric models for the 2025 model year, continuing a trend it started several years ago. The latest examples are the midsize A6 E-tron Sportback and Q6 E-tron SUV, which share Audi’s new 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) vehicle architecture, co-developed with Porsche.
Though not electric (yet), the popular Q5 SUV also gets a redesign for 2025, while the small A3 sedan gets a thorough update this year. The rest of Audi’s lineup gets minor changes, and most models benefit from Audi App Store upgrades that allow owners to load popular apps directly onto the Multi-Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system. In addition, the Audi Connect Nav trial also expands from six months to three years.
Changes to the individual 2025 Audi model lines are listed below in alphabetical order.
Three years after a complete redesign for the 2022 model year, a refreshed Audi A3 arrives for 2025. Audi gives its smallest sedan fresh exterior styling, upgraded interior materials, expanded connectivity, and better performance, including standard Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD).
Exterior highlights include new front and rear LED lighting designs, updated front styling with a frameless grille, a more pronounced rear diffuser, two new wheel designs, and new badging. Four new paint colors round out the exterior changes.
Inside, the 2025 A3 gets upgraded materials, more standard equipment, and new interior lighting, shifter, and air vent designs. On the technology front, the A3 gets a standard 10.25-inch driver information display and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen. Additionally, a surround-view camera is now an available option.
Powertrain enhancements include the switch to standard AWD and a slight increase in torque (+15 pound-feet). The sporty 2025 S3 variant benefits from the same changes as the A3 but also gets performance enhancements, including chassis and suspension upgrades, a new torque-vectoring system from the RS 3, and a 22-horsepower bump (to 328 hp).
As of this writing, Audi has yet to release official information for the 2025 RS 3 sport sedan.
New standard features and equipment packages highlight the changes to the A4 family for 2025. All A4 variants now come with remote engine start, and Audi relocated the HomeLink buttons to the rearview mirror. Additionally, the Convenience package gets new rear USB ports, and MMI Navigation Plus is now standard on Premium Plus trim levels. Upper trims feature new black exterior accents and new wheels.
With the discontinuation of the coupe and convertible body styles, the 2025 A5, S5, and RS 5 are available exclusively as a Sportback. Like the A4, the 2025 A5 model family receives new standard equipment and option packages, including the repositioned HomeLink buttons, Convenience package rear USB ports, and the addition of MMI Navigation Plus for the Premium Plus trim. Black exterior trim and new wheel designs also come on the upper trims.
The A6 family received a thorough freshening for the 2024 model year, so the changes for 2025 are minimal. Most changes mirror those made to the A4 and A5 model lines, including new standard equipment and restructured option packages. Traffic-sign recognition is now standard across the lineup, the suspension is 20mm lower, and the A6 allroad inherits newly standard equipment from the Executive package.
There’s also a new Nardo Sport Edition for the S6 with exclusive Nardo Gray exterior paint, a black roof, 21-inch gloss black Audi Sport wheels, and other unique exterior and interior styling elements.
Audi is going all-electric with its popular A6 model line. For now, it will continue to build the gas-powered versions. However, soon the new fully electric A6 E-tron and S6 E-tron will replace the conventionally powered A6 lineup. The automaker will build the new A6 E-tron and S6 E-tron on its new PPE vehicle architecture.
Available exclusively in a Sportback body style, the new A6 E-tron and S6 E-tron will offer single- and dual-motor options powered by a 100-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery; the dual-motor setup is standard on the S6 E-tron. Power output ranges from 362 to 543 hp, depending on the configuration. Audi says the new A6 E-tron should deliver around 350 miles of range, though official Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates are unavailable.
Inside, the new A6 E-tron features three wide display screens, including one for the front passenger. A 14.5-inch touchscreen houses the Android-based infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. A smart panoramic moonroof is available, as is a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
Much like the A4, A5, and A6 model lines, changes to the 2025 Audi A7 family—including the sporty S7 and performance-oriented RS 7—involve new standard equipment and revised option packages. For example, the contents of the former Executive package are now standard on the A7 Premium Plus trim. Audi also offers the Nardo Sport Edition on the 2025 S7 (see details in the previous A6 section).
Audi’s traditional flagship sedan, the A8, and its sporty counterpart, the S8, see only minor updates for 2025, primarily related to standard and optional equipment packages. A heated steering wheel is now standard, the HomeLink buttons move to the rearview mirror, and the car gets a new set of 20-inch wheels. There’s also a new Madeira Brown exterior paint color.
Exclusive updates to the S8 include the newly standard Extended Leather package and a new set of 21-inch wheels.
As of this writing, Audi has yet to release official information for the 2025 E-tron GT and RS E-tron GT.
The only notable change for the Q3 small SUV for 2025 is the availability of a new Black Optic Plus equipment package. It brings black-colored roof rails, mirror housings, and 19-inch wheels, red interior stitching, and various other unique trim bits inside and out.
The Q4 E-tron compact SUV received propulsion system and suspension updates midway through the 2024 model year, which resulted in better power, range, and handling performance. As part of the update, the uplevel Q4 50 E-tron became the Q4 55 E-tron.
For 2025, the entry-level Q4 40 E-tron benefits from a similar upgrade, becoming the Q4 45 E-tron and getting an additional 81 hp. Audi says the change will add 23 miles of range to the Q4 45 E-tron, providing a maximum driving range of 288 miles.
In other news, the previously optional Technology package is now standard across the board, and Audi enhances the Black Optic Plus package for the Q4 Sportback 55 E-tron. The Cold Weather package is also available on all Q4 55 E-tron trims.
Audi’s most popular SUV enters a transition year in 2025. While the current-generation Q5 carries over essentially unchanged for 2025, Audi is preparing an all-new third-generation Q5 SUV—also a 2025 model—to debut in early 2025. Since there will technically be two 2025 Audi Q5 SUVs, the new design will essentially be a 2025.5 model.
To keep buyers interested until the all-new Audi Q5 arrives, the carryover 2025 Q5 gets new standard equipment and option packages. If you want an electrified version of the compact SUV, the plug-in hybrid Q5 S Line 55 TFSI e is your only choice.
In a surprising move, the all-new 2025 Audi Q5 will be gas-only; initially, Audi will not offer any form of electrification. Instead, a turbocharged four-cylinder (Q5) or six-cylinder (SQ5) engine will provide motivation. All-wheel drive is standard, as is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 2026 model year may see an electrified version of the new Q5 join the lineup, but Audi has not made any such announcement at this time.
On the outside, the redesigned Q5’s styling is evolutionary. Inside, there’s an abundance of haptic or touchscreen controls. Drivers face an 11.9-inch digital gauge display, the infotainment touchscreen measures 14.5 inches, and there’s an available 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger.
Audi is further expanding its model lineup in 2025 with the all-new Q6 E-tron and SQ6 E-tron electric SUVs. Like the A6 E-tron sedan, Audi will build the crossover SUVs on its new PPE platform, which underpins the Porsche Macan Electric.
Initially, both versions will have dual electric motors, providing AWD capability, though Audi later plans to introduce a less-expensive single-motor version. Power output is 456 hp for the Q6 E-tron and 509 hp for the SQ6 E-tron. Audi expects the SUV to deliver up to 307 miles of range.
Outside, the new SUV features an intricate grille design, flared wheel arches, and sloped rooflines. The spacious cabin houses a curved touchscreen incorporating the driver information and Android-based infotainment system displays. Buyers can also opt for a separate screen for the front passenger. A new augmented-reality head-up display helps keep drivers’ eyes on the road while conveying important information.

The 2025 Q7 and performance-oriented SQ7 also receive expanded complimentary access to Audi Connect services. Through Audi Connect Plus and the Audi App Store, owners can download popular apps to the SUV's MMI infotainment system and run them natively from the display.
Audi’s largest SUV received a host of exterior and interior updates for the 2024 model year, so the changes for 2025 are minimal. Traffic-sign recognition is now standard, and the SQ8 gets a standard LED interior lighting package. Front-row occupants in the top-spec Prestige trim get standard seat memory and massage functions. Also, the Carbon and Audi Sport Express Red stitching packages are now standard.
Two years ago, Audi introduced its largest electric SUV as the “E-tron.” For the 2024 model year, the automaker appended “Q8” to its moniker while also giving it a host of improvements in terms of styling, aerodynamics, driving range, power, battery storage, charging capabilities, and driving dynamics.
For 2025, Audi makes minor changes to the EV’s standard equipment list and option packages. Owners can now access the Audi App Store, and Park Assist Plus gets upgraded to Remote Park Assist Plus. Elsewhere, the Black Optic package gets new Anthracite Gray Audi rings, and a new Magnesium package is now available. Additionally, the sporty SQ8 E-tron offers a new 21-inch wheel/summer tire option.
