Christian Wardlaw | Jan 08, 2024

Nissan is in a state of transition. Electrification is right around the corner, and the company is taking steps in preparation for what’s next. For example, the Nissan Maxima has exited production, perhaps to be replaced by a new electric model in a year or two.

2024 Nissan Armada Changes - Find the best Nissan Armada deals!

Nissan’s full-size SUV loses its base trim level this year. With the departure of the Armada S, the lineup now includes the SV, SL, and Platinum, with prices starting in the mid-$50,000 range. The Armada is essentially the same as an Infiniti QX80 but without the luxury branding and some of the QX’s exclusive features.

2024 Nissan Frontier Changes - Find the best Nissan Frontier deals!

The midsize pickup truck market is heating up, with redesigned Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma models arriving in 2024. Jeep also gives the 2024 Gladiator a refresh this year.

In response, Nissan rolls out a new Frontier Hardbody special edition, hearkening back to the classic “Hardbody” pickup of the 1980s. Retro-style 17-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, an aluminum front skid plate, and a sports bar for the cargo bed are standard on the 2024 Frontier Hardbody. Black-painted bumpers, fender flares, mirror caps, and trim complete the look.

Nissan also reports that forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard on all Frontiers. A new S Utility package equips the base models with a spray-in bedliner and power outlets in the cab and bed, while a new SL trim level now tops the lineup, replacing the previous SV Premium Package.

For starters, the 2024 GT-R has restyled front and rear fascias and a new rear wing design. Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple paint colors are also new, inspired by rare R34-generation GT-R models.

Based on the GT-R Premium trim level, a GT-R T-Spec version debuts this year. It adds gold wheels, wider front fenders, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a Mori Green interior with premium leather and artificial suede upholstery.

The top-performing Nismo model adds a standard front limited-slip differential in 2024, and a new Nismo appearance package installs exclusive wheels and carbon fiber exterior trim.

Nissan adds standard 12.3-inch digital instrumentation and 12.3-inch infotainment screens to the Rogue SL, and the infotainment system gains Google Built-in technology. That means it provides access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system also adds premium SiriusXM 360L satellite radio services for 2024.

At the top of the lineup, the Rogue Platinum has a more upscale look, and the Chestnut Brown leather interior color choice is darker than before for a richer appearance.

After two decades of attempting to crack the code to full-size pickup truck sales in the U.S. market, Nissan calls it quits. This year will be the final one of production for the second-generation Titan.

Unsurprisingly, Nissan trims the lineup of its base S trim level, and the King Cab (extended cab) version now comes only in SV trim with standard four-wheel drive. A new SV Bronze Edition is available, equipping the Titan with black exterior detailing, bronze 20-inch wheels, upgraded LED headlights, and a sports bar in the cargo bed.
