Porsche’s electric SUV lineup expands with the 2026 Porsche Cayenne S Electric, a model that bridges the performance gap between the entry-level Cayenne Electric and the top-tier Cayenne Turbo Electric.

Priced at $128,650, including the destination charge, the Cayenne S Electric is considerably more affordable than the Turbo Electric at $165,350, and represents only a modest $17,300 increase over the base Cayenne Electric.
The additional cash scores buyers 536 horsepower from a pair of electric motors—a jump of over 100 horsepower compared with the standard Cayenne Electric. If you want even more power, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) S can activate a launch mode or use its Push-to-Pass feature. Both options deliver a total of 657 hp for up to 10 seconds, more than enough time to thrill yourself and everyone around you. That is also why the SUV can hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds from a standstill, which is nearly a full second faster than the most affordable Cayenne EV.
In keeping with other S variants in the Porsche lineup, the Cayenne S Electric focuses on performance features, including an oil-cooled rear-axle motor that helps maintain power delivery by reducing heat buildup. This system is borrowed from the more powerful Turbo Electric trim. There is also a Track driving mode that pre-conditions the battery temperature to ensure safe and consistent hard launches.
Optional equipment for enthusiasts includes a torque vectoring system, an active suspension called Porsche Active Ride, and a carbon-ceramic brake package. To use the Push-to-Pass feature mentioned above, you need to specify the Sport Chrono package on the order sheet.
Porsche has yet to publish an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) range estimate for the Cayenne S Electric. However, the German automaker states that the vehicle can charge its 113-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 16 minutes, provided it is connected to a DC fast-charging station that supplies 400 kilowatts (kW), the maximum rate at which the vehicle can charge.
The S features a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port on one side of its rear fender and a J1772 Level 2 charging port on its right side. It is also possible to charge the Cayenne wirelessly, although at a much slower 11-kW rate, using an optional home charging system.

The high performance luxury EV SUV market is becoming increasingly crowded at the Cayenne S Electric’s level. Cadillac offers the 615-hp Lyriq-V, while the BMW iX M70 delivers 650 hp. Each of these vehicles is more affordable than the Porsche. Even in its own showroom, the Cayenne Electric faces competition from the smaller, less expensive Porsche Macan, which, in GTS trim, is nearly on par with its sibling in terms of power and speed. Finally, there are more boutique options, such as the Lucid Gravity, as well as the Tesla Model X.
