German automaker Porsche has announced its most powerful vehicle to date, and it is not a sports car. The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric SUV will deliver an incredible 1,139 horsepower, making it the most powerful Porsche ever. Alongside the new standard 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric with 402 hp, these two new electric models will join the lineup of existing combustion and plug-in hybrid Cayenne SUVs.
With prices of $165,350 for the Cayenne Electric Turbo and $111,350 for the standard Cayenne Electric, including the destination charge but excluding taxes or tariffs, you can place your orders now. Customer deliveries are expected to start in summer 2026.
With 1,139 hp and 1,106 pound-feet of torque, the Turbo's performance is, well, electrifying, with 60 mph reached in just 2.4 seconds and the standing quarter-mile clocked at 9.9 seconds, according to Porsche. To access full power, the driver must activate launch control. Without it, only 844 hp are available.
Porsche says the standard Cayenne Electric can add 33 more hp, bringing it to 435 hp, and boost torque to 615 pound-feet under launch control, achieving zero-to-60-mph acceleration in a claimed 4.5 seconds.
Both electric Cayennes will feature a new 113-kilowatt-hour, 800-volt battery with cooling elements on two sides. High performance will also mean fast charging times. Under ideal conditions, you will be able to charge the new electric Cayennes at up to 400 kilowatts (kW) and go from 10 percent to 80 percent capacity in less than 16 minutes.
Additionally, these will be the first Porsches to support inductive (wireless) battery charging when parked over a floor plate, up to 11 kW, although this feature is optional.
The electric Cayennes will recover high levels of energy while driving: up to 600 kW can be achieved solely through the electric motors performing regenerative braking. Porsche says that about 97 percent of all braking requirements can be met through regeneration from the electric motors.
Both new Cayennes will come standard with an air suspension, and you can order the Turbo model with Porsche Active Ride. This adaptive damping suspension counters body roll, pitch, and dive. The Turbo model also features a torque vectoring rear differential and oil cooling for the rear electric motor to maintain optimal temperature under extreme conditions.
Both electric Cayennes have a nearly 5-inch-longer wheelbase than the combustion engine and hybrid Cayenne models, providing more rear seat legroom. Built for maximum towing capacity, the electric Cayennes can tow up to 7,716 pounds.
A new Flow Display dashboard features an OLED light panel that curves from the upright, forward dash position down into the console. Digital instruments are housed in a 14.25-inch display, with an optional 14.9-inch display available for the front passenger. An optional head-up display using augmented reality technology projects an image on the windshield about 33 virtual feet ahead of the vehicle.
The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric SUVs will compete with other luxury electric SUVs, including the Audi Q8 E-tron, BMW iX M70, Lucid Gravity, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, Rivian R1S, and Tesla Model X. In a crowded field of vehicles, Porsche's long history of performance promises a strong showing from the electric Cayenne SUVs.
