Nissan offers the all-new 2025 Armada in five trim levels: SV, SL, Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. The Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve are new for 2025, bringing a new level of off-road ability and premium luxury to Nissan’s full-size SUV. A twin-turbocharged V6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission are standard, replacing the V8 and seven-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive (2WD) is standard on most trims, with four-wheel drive (4WD) standard on the Pro-4X and available on all other trims.

Wearing all-new sheet metal, incorporating full LED exterior lighting, and possessing higher ground clearance, the 2025 Nissan Armada has a whole new look. The off-road-oriented Pro-4X variant joins the lineup for 2025 and includes trim-specific features such as a reshaped front fascia to provide a better approach angle and a metal underbody skid plate to protect vital mechanical components during off-road maneuvers. The Pro-4X also features LED fog lights and blacked-out exterior trim with red accents.

A two-tone roof is now available on Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve trims. It consists of a Super Black upper portion with one of five colors below: Alpine Metallic, Gun Metallic, Coulis Red, Aspen White, or Everest White. Rear LED light bar taillights that span the liftgate are also available.

Full-size SUV interiors have come a long way, offering high-quality materials, expansive touchscreens, thoughtful creature comforts, and innovative seating and cargo features that sometimes rival those found in luxury cars. That sums up the 2025 Armada. Indeed, in some versions, you’ll discover open-pore wood, quilted leather seating and trim, dual 14.3-inch display screens, and 64-color ambient lighting—things you might not expect to find in an SUV from a mass-market brand.

The Armada provides a commanding view of the road thanks to its tall ride height. It is so good, in fact, that Nissan says the Armada has the highest driver’s eye point among all full-size SUVs. Drivers in the SV and SL trims face a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, while Platinum and above get a 14.3-inch display. A head-up display is optional on all but the base SV trim.

Other notable interior features include a rotary dial for selecting the vehicle’s drive mode, a pushbutton transmission gear selector, eight cupholders, and four bottle holders.

Regarding seating and trim, the Armada SV has standard leatherette seats, the SL upgrades to synthetic leather, and the Pro-4X has genuine leather with quilted inserts and stitching. Full quilted leather is standard in the two Platinum trims. All Armadas feature power front seats that are heated on the SL and above. The two Platinum trims have front-row ventilated seats, and the Platinum Reserve models have a massage function. Second-row heated seats are an option on the Platinum trims.

One cool feature—pun intended—is Biometric Cooling, which uses an infrared camera mounted on the roof to identify passengers in the first two rows that might be overheated. The Armada’s climate control system then directs additional cool air toward those passengers. The feature is standard on the two Platinum trims and optional on the Pro-4X.

As a full-size, three-row SUV, the Nissan Armada provides plenty of room for up to eight occupants. The SUV offers a second-row 40/20/40 split fold-down bench seat or middle-row captain’s chairs, depending on the trim level. Additionally, first- and third-row occupants have more legroom in 2025.

Regarding cargo space, Nissan says there’s more behind every row of seats. The rear cargo space now measures 20.4 cubic feet (up from 16.5). With the third row folded, there are 56.3 cubic feet (up from 49.9). With the second and third rows folded, the maximum cargo room now stands at 97.1 cubic feet—up from 95.4 cubic feet in the previous model. Nissan makes accessing the cargo area easier with an available power liftgate. Platinum and higher trims get a motion-activated liftgate.

Since the beginning, Nissan has equipped the Armada with a big V8 engine. However, times change, and big, thirsty V8s are on their way out as automakers pivot to smaller, boosted engines. As such, the 2025 Armada has a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine it shares with the all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80. The engine makes 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission powers the rear wheels; all trims are available with 4WD (standard on the Pro-4X).

The new Pro-4X trim includes an electronic locking rear differential and an adaptive damping air suspension, which it shares with the Platinum Reserve. The Armada SL trim and higher have a tow mode and a drive-mode selector with multiple drive modes. Pro-4X models offer the most drive-mode settings, including Standard, Eco, Sport, Tow, Snow, Sand, Rock, and Mud/Rut.

The 2025 Armada can tow up to 8,500 pounds. Nissan equips the Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve trims with an integrated trailer brake controller to make towing easier.

Nissan offers the Armada with 18-, 20-, or 22-inch wheels, depending on the trim. The Pro-4X comes with 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires.

Every 2025 Armada includes Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, the automaker’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite. Beyond that, the SV and Pro-4X trims come standard with Nissan ProPilot Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance. The other three trims upgrade to ProPilot Assist 1.1, which leverages navigation information to adjust vehicle speed. ProPilot Assist 2.1—optional on SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve—offers partial hands-free driving while the driver remains attentive.

The 2025 Armada comes standard with dual 12.3-inch display screens—one for driver information and another serving as the gateway to the NissanConnect infotainment system. Platinum and higher trims upgrade to dual 14.3-inch screens.

A six-speaker audio system is standard on the SV. All other trims get a 600-watt, 12-speaker Klipsch sound system and Google Built-in, which brings various apps, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on every 2025 Armada, as is Nissan connected navigation.

Available camera technologies include an Invisible Hood View, a Front Wide View, and a surround-view monitor, helping drivers spot and avoid obstacles that might present a problem on- or off-road.

2025 Nissan Armada Competitors - Find the best Nissan Armada deals!

One of the few remaining big, traditional, body-on-frame three-row SUVs, the Nissan Armada counts among its competitors segment stalwarts such as the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, Jeep Wagoneer, and the Toyota Sequoia. The Chevy and GMC entrants received significant updates for 2025, while the others were all new or refreshed in the last several years.
