The Mini brand is shaking things up for 2025. In fact, the automaker says the introduction of its new 2025 lineup represents the brand’s biggest product investment since 1959. One familiar model—the Clubman—disappears from the U.S. roster, while the renewed lineup features 11 new vehicle variations that will be available in the United States by the end of 2025. The changes mark a comprehensive overhaul of the whole Mini product line, which, at one point, was poised to go all-electric. But no more.
The new Mini Cooper 2 Door and Mini Cooper S 2 Door Hardtop lead the brand’s 2025 transformation, featuring fresh exterior and interior designs. The two-door Cooper hardtop has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generating 161 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The even sportier two-door Cooper S hardtop features a more potent 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, generating 201 hp and 221 pound-feet of torque. A John Cooper Works variant ups the performance even more, delivering 228 hp from its twin-turbo four-cylinder variant.
Horizontal LED daytime running lights accentuate the model’s new appearance, while the interior features the industry’s first 9.4-inch round OLED display screen.
The new 2025 Mini Cooper and Cooper S 4 Door models combine the performance, style, technology, and fun-to-drive qualities of the Mini 2 Door models with added convenience and space. Sporting a longer wheelbase and additional length, these models offer increased passenger and cargo utility versus the two-doors while maintaining fun-to-drive driving dynamics.
To that end, the four-doors have the same powertrains as the two-doors. The Cooper 4 Door offers the 161-hp four-cylinder engine, while the Cooper S 4 Door features the 201-hp version. The extra length gives the four-doors a roomier cabin, including increased luggage compartment capacity and a wider rear seat that can accommodate three passengers.
The newly minted 2025 Mini Cooper Convertible features the brand’s iconic round headlights and a redesigned front grille. The octagonal-shaped grille surround includes wide air inlets in silver or gloss black. Epitomizing the model’s "Always Open" philosophy, the power-operated soft top opens fully in 18 seconds at up to 19 mph. It offers two modes: fully retracted like a conventional convertible or a sunroof-like arrangement allowing up to 16 inches of opening.
The unique "Openometer" in the Mini Convertible’s center display tracks each car's top-down driving history. The U.S.-market Mini Cooper Convertible offers the same three turbocharged four-cylinder power plants as the Mini 2 Door models, including a John Cooper Works high-performance trim.
The new Mini Countryman S All4 is a bold, all-terrain-ready crossover with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 241 hp. Its interior offers 40/20/40 split fold-down rear seats for passenger and cargo versatility, plus dashboard, door, and trim panels made of 90 percent recycled materials.
The innovative 9.4-inch OLED screen is customizable with experience modes, intelligent assistant, and in-car gaming. The panoramic glass roof adds light to the roomier cabin, while the exterior styling follows the same path as the Mini 2 Door and 4 Door.
According to Mini, the Countryman’s upgraded All4 all-wheel-drive (AWD) system enhances traction, safety, and driving agility in various weather conditions. A John Cooper Works version of the Mini Cooper Countryman offers 312 hp; Mini says it will accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds.
The Mini Countryman SE All4 is the all-electric version of the new crossover SUV. Its new features include an intelligent AWD system, extended driving-assistance functions, partially automated Level 2 autonomous driving, and an Environmental Protection Agency-estimated electric range of up to 212 miles. The SUV boasts two powerful electric motors with a total output of 308 hp and 364 pound-feet of torque.
Its lithium-ion battery has a net rated capacity of 64.7 kilowatt hours; Mini says it will charge in just 30 minutes using an optimized DC fast charger. Level 2 charging takes about eight hours. The Countryman SE All4 offers the interior features and amenities of the conventionally powered SUV with an EPA rating of 96 MPGe.
