You’re justified in calling 2024 the year Chevy went electric because the company is introducing three new models that you plug in, charge a battery, and drive. Sure, the two Bolt models are going on hiatus until replacements arrive, and Chevrolet is once again icing an iconic car after the inventory of 2024s runs out. Still, perhaps those are the prices for progress. And what’s this? An electrified all-wheel-drive Corvette?

Chevrolet freshened the Blazer midsize two-row crossover SUV last year. So, aside from standard heated front seats, the 2024 model gets a new paint color and no other changes. It comes in 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier trim, with a turbocharged four-cylinder or a V6 engine.
New for 2024, the Blazer EV shares only a name with the gas-fueled Blazer. Also a midsize two-row crossover SUV, the Blazer EV is fully electric and shares nothing in common with its fossil-fuel-dependent sibling.
You can get the Blazer EV in LT, RS, and SS trim levels. A dual-motor electric drive system with all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, while a single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) system is available. Depending on the trim and specification, the Blazer EV travels up to 324 miles on a battery charge, offers up to 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, and accelerates to 60 mph in under four seconds.
The Blazer EV features a standard 11-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A package of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) called Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and you can get a hands-free semi-autonomous highway driving assistance system called Super Cruise as an option.
This year is the final one for the Camaro coupe and convertible in their current form. As of this writing, the car’s Lansing assembly line has already gone dark. So, dealership inventory is all that’s left if you want one.
Three Camaro Collector Edition models are available in 2024. They feature exclusive Panther Black paint, black stripes, black mirrors, a front splitter, a sport spoiler, and 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. Collector Edition emblems and a flat-bottom artificial suede steering wheel complete the package.
With the Camaro LT1 and SS, the Collector Edition has red brake calipers. The Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition is even more exclusive, with matte-finish paint, metallic stripes, visible carbon weave on the fuel door and spoiler, and an upgraded braking system. The ZL1 version also gets carbon fiber interior trim.
Lastly, the Camaro ZL1 Garage 56 Edition is available. It has aerodynamic exterior parts and graphics patterned after the automaker’s NASCAR racer at LeMans.
A new version of the Colorado ZR2 debuts in 2024. Built in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), the new ZR2 Bison is ready to go almost anywhere you dare.
Highlights include front and rear power-locking differentials, Multimatic front and rear jounce-control suspension dampers, beadlock-capable wheels with 35-inch mud-terrain tires, an AEV winch-capable front bumper, AEV rear bumper and fender flares, and Boron steel skid plates just in case the 12.2 inches of ground clearance isn’t sufficient. In addition, the ZR2 Bison has a racing-inspired spare tire carrier and a spray-on bedliner.
Chevy drops last year’s Desert Boss model with the Bison’s arrival. In other news, the 2024 Colorado Trail Boss and Z71 models make more torque this year (+39 lb-ft). Last year’s available 11-inch digital instrumentation panel is now standard equipment, and the blind-spot warning system adds an available trailering function. There are several changes to various option packages and accessories, too.
There are three versions of the 2024 Corvette: Stingray, Z06, and E-Ray. Each is available as a coupe or a convertible.
Stingrays boast new color choices, wheel designs, and accent packages. Standard equipment now includes a power hood pull-down, a rear camera mirror, and Chevy Safety Assist. New engine appearance packages are available, and you can now equip the Corvette 1LT with a performance data recorder.
Updates to the 2024 Corvette Z06 are similar to the Stingray, but there is also a new carbon fiber wheel option.
The Corvette E-Ray is new. The familiar 6.2-liter V8 powers the back wheels, while an electric motor powers the front wheels, drawing electricity from a battery that recharges as you drive. Yes, that means it has AWD. With a combined horsepower rating of 655, the E-Ray rockets to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and covers the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds. A Stealth mode provides electric-only operation at speeds up to 45 mph.
Chevy’s compact crossover SUV is unchanged except for the base LS trim, now available with blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning. It comes in LS, LT, RS, and Premier trim levels, each with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive (FWD) or AWD.
Similar to how the Blazer EV has nothing to do with a standard Blazer, the all-new Equinox EV is something entirely different from the Equinox. Both are compact two-row crossover SUVs with the name Equinox. And that’s where the similarities end.
Chevrolet offers the Equinox EV with a single-motor FWD or a dual-motor AWD electric drive system. It comes in Launch Edition, 1LT, 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and 3RS trim levels, and prices start in the mid $30,000s.
Chevy says the FWD version provides 319 miles of range, while the AWD model boasts an estimated 288 hp and accelerates to 60 mph in less than six seconds. The battery can recharge 70 miles in 10 minutes when using a DC fast charger. Plug the Equinox EV into an 11.5-kilowatt 240-volt home charging station, and you’ll recoup 34 miles of range with each hour of charging.
The Equinox EV has a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and offers up to 57.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Chevy Safety Assist is also standard, and you can get Super Cruise with a three-year trial subscription to the service.
How times have changed. The only sedan Chevrolet makes is the midsize Malibu, which hasn’t seen a redesign since 2016. It’s not getting one this year, either, but rear parking sensors are standard, and a new paint color is available. Otherwise, it continues in LS, RS, 1LT, and 2LT trim levels, each featuring a modestly powered turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Chevy’s full-size truck sees a handful of updates for 2024. The turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine gets a new TurboMax name, and the Duramax turbodiesel 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder is now available in the off-road-ready Silverado ZR2. Trucks with the 6.2-liter V8 engine offer a new active exhaust system option.
In other news, the Work Truck (WT) adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and OnStar connected services. The Safety Package option adds front and rear parking sensors this year, and a Blackout Appearance Package is available for most trim levels. High Country trim adds standard adaptive cruise control, and this luxurious version of the Silverado is now available in Midnight Edition specification.
The third new EV in Chevy’s lineup is the Silverado EV. No, it’s not an electric version of the existing Silverado. Instead, it lives on an exclusive EV platform with a Multi-Flex Midgate connecting the cab with the cargo bed, like the old Chevy Avalanche models. Drop the Multi-Flex Tailgate, raise the load stop, and a Silverado EV can accommodate items nearly 11 feet long.
The Silverado EV offers an estimated 450 miles of range depending on the trim level and specification. Maximum power measures up to 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque, and if you engage Wide Open Watts, the truck will zoom to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Chevrolet says it can tow up to 10,000 pounds and recharge at a rate of 100 miles in 10 minutes when using a DC fast charger.
Additional features include a front trunk called an eTrunk, a panoramic glass roof, a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Built-in, and Chevy Safety Assist. You can also get Super Cruise on this truck, a hands-free semi-autonomous driving assistance system.
The 2024 Silverado HD trucks get a refresh this year with updated styling, revised wheel designs, and a new interior for most trim levels. With LT trim and higher, the truck features more refined materials and finishes, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Built-in.
In addition, the standard gas and available turbodiesel powertrains get upgrades to improve drivability, power, torque, and towing capacity. Four new towing-related technologies also debut. They include adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning systems tuned for trailering, an alert system that tells a driver when the truck is overloaded, and an enhanced version of Chevy’s Transparent Trailer technology.
Last, but not least, there is a new ZR2 version of the Silverado HD, and the High Country trim is now available with a Midnight Edition treatment with blacked-out exterior trim.
Chevrolet announced no changes to the 2024 Suburban, the automaker’s largest SUV. It will receive a refresh in 2025. So, for now, it continues in LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country trim levels.
Like the Suburban, the Tahoe full-size SUV will get numerous updates in 2025. So, the 2024 is unchanged. Since it is a shorter version of the Suburban, it comes in the same trim-level lineup as its bigger twin.
The 2024 Trailblazer is one of Chevy’s small crossover SUVs. This year, it gets revised styling, new wheel designs, and fresh paint colors. Inside is a new 8-inch digital instrumentation panel paired with an 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Chevy’s midsize three-row crossover SUV gets a redesign for 2024. The all-new Traverse comes in LS, LT, new Z71, and RS trim levels, each featuring a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 315 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. It bolts to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which powers the front or all four wheels. The maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.
The new Traverse Z71 provides enhanced off-roading capability. It has a more capable dual-clutch AWD system, a raised suspension, all-terrain tires, and more.
Chevy equips the 2024 Traverse with an available AutoSense power liftgate, which raises to reveal up to 98 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. The Traverse features an 11-inch digital instrumentation display, a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Chevy Safety Assist. There is a long list of optional ADAS, including Super Cruise.
Chevy’s entry-level model is the redesigned 2024 Trax. It is a small crossover with attractive styling, modern tech, and an affordable base price of around $23,000. You can choose between LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ trim levels.
The Trax has a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. It makes 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, and uses a six-speed automatic transmission to power the front wheels. An AWD system is unavailable.
An 8-inch digital instrumentation panel is standard, paired with an 8-inch or 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Chevy Safety Assist is also standard, and safety feature options include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
