Cadillac’s transformation into an electric vehicle company continues in 2024 as the General Motors luxury brand rolls out an ultra-exclusive EV flagship car. The Celestiq (sell-es-tick) is hand-built to customer specifications, and as the saying goes, if you must ask how much it costs, you can’t afford it.
In other news, the compact XT4 crossover SUV gets a substantial refresh for 2024, and Cadillac celebrates 20 years of V-badged performance models with exclusive detailing on those cars and SUVs.
With the 2024 Celestiq, Cadillac wishes to reassert itself as the “Standard of the World,” a position it claimed in advertising from the 1940s to the 1970s. The electric car is a large flagship sedan, hand-built to customer specifications in very low volumes.
Highlights include a two-motor electric drive system supplying 600 horsepower, 640 pound-feet of torque, acceleration to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and an estimated 300 miles of driving range.
Cadillac calls the Celestiq its most technologically advanced vehicle in its history. For example, it has a 55-inch display spanning the dashboard’s width, separate touchscreen “command centers” for the front and rear occupants, and entertainment screens for everyone but the driver.
Cadillac’s compact sedan sees few changes in 2024. The CT4-V sport sedan and CT4-V Blackwing performance car get a handful of 20th Anniversary details, and the Blackwing adds more exterior identification to make sure other people know you’re driving the hottest one. Otherwise, a few new paint colors debut.
Cadillac CT5 midsize sedan updates for 2024 mirror those for the CT4 above. In addition, the CT5-V Blackwing is now available with Super Cruise, Cadillac’s hands-free highway driving assistance system.
Most versions of the 2024 Escalade SUV now include Super Cruise with a complimentary three-year subscription to the service as standard equipment. As a part of that upgrade, Escalades with Super Cruise also get standard enhanced automatic front and rear braking systems and automatic seatbelt tighteners.
In addition, the high-powered 2024 Escalade V celebrates 20 years of V-badged performance models with exclusive detailing.
Cadillac makes numerous changes to the 2024 Lyriq electric SUV. For starters, the lineup expands beyond the Luxury trim to include Tech and Sport versions of the two-row EV. Tech is the base trim; from there, you can choose between the Luxury or Sport models.

In addition, the 2024 Lyriq comes with 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot compatibility, and the Driver Assist Package adds a new intersection turn assistance system with automatic braking. The remaining changes pertain to fresh paint colors and new wheel designs.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is the automaker’s entry-level vehicle, with a base price under $40,000. It is a small crossover SUV but gets a big refresh for the new model year.
For starters, the 2024 XT4 features revised front and rear styling, new wheel designs, new color choices, and improved interior materials. In addition, the XT4 has a new 33-inch advanced LED digital instrumentation and infotainment display, a new 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and an optional 14-speaker AKG premium sound system.
Cadillac XT4 safety features improve too. New standard equipment includes front pedestrian and cyclist detection and braking, an active blind-spot warning system with steering assist, rear cross-traffic warning with reverse automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.
An Active Safety Package is available with Premium Luxury and Sport trim. New features include intersection turn assistance with automatic braking to avoid collisions, speed limit assistance, and a traffic sign recognition system.
Cadillac’s midsize two-row crossover SUV carries over into 2024 with a handful of changes. The XT5 Premium Luxury now comes with standard 20-inch wheels, while the Sport trim is available with new Blue Accent, Red Accent, and Bronze Accent option packages. In addition, two new paint colors are available.
If you’re looking for a midsize three-row crossover SUV from Cadillac, the 2024 XT6 is your only choice. This year, the Sport trim level offers new Blue Accent, Red Accent, and Bronze Accent option packages, and two fresh paint colors are yours for the taking.
