The luxury SUVs highlighted below rank among the top three models in their market segment in at least two of JD Power's core automotive studies that assess initial quality, long-term dependability, and vehicle appeal.
Sharing a platform and most of its mechanical components with the BMW X3, the compact BMW X4 features SUV Coupe styling, marked by a sleeker, more sloping roofline. It comes in three versions—xDrive30i, M40i, and high-performance M—and offers a compelling blend of luxury and performance in a tidy package. Another SUV Coupe, which BMW calls a Sports Activity Coupe, the BMW X6 closely resembles the BMW X5, but with a more streamlined profile. Offered in xDrive40i, M60i, and M Competition versions, the X6 received new exterior accents and updated technology for the 2024 model year.

The X7 is BMW’s largest SUV, providing seating for seven passengers. It is available in xDrive40i, M60i, and Alpina XB7 trims. All models come equipped with a turbocharged engine and standard xDrive all-wheel drive (AWD). Last updated for the 2023 model year, the X7’s interior features a spacious BMW Curved Display and comfortable seats.

Cadillac’s XT5 midsize SUV is one of the luxury brand’s few remaining conventionally powered models. Available in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims, the XT5 comes with a standard 235-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. A 310-hp 3.6-liter V6 is also offered. Front wheel drive is standard; AWD is available.

The Genesis GV80 is the flagship SUV for the Korean luxury brand. Also available as the GV80 Coupe, it offers premium design and materials at a good value. There are six GV80 trims, starting at just under $60,000. The 3.5T trims with the twin-turbo V6 engine deliver 375 hp.

Land Rover’s full-size flagship SUV, the Range Rover, is available in standard and long wheelbase models, offering three trims: SE, Autobiography, and SV.
