If Honda hung a sign on its Southern California headquarters building, it might say: “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” Over half the automaker’s lineup of cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs get no changes in 2024. Zero. Zilch. Nada. There is a new Honda CR-V trim level, though, and both the Passport SUV and Ridgeline pickup get a little more rugged.

Oh, and there’s the new Honda Prologue, an electric midsize SUV. We can’t forget that, which is the big news in 2024.
Following a redesign in 2023, the 2024 Accord midsize sedan receives no changes. It comes in LX and EX trim with a turbocharged gas engine. Hybrids include the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring.
Honda redesigned the compact Civic hatchback and sedan in 2022 and the Civic Type R performance model in 2023. This year, there are no changes to the 2024 Civic lineup. Sedans continue in LX, Sport, EX, Touring, and Si trim levels. You can get the Civic hatchback in LX, Sport, EX-L, Sport Touring, and Type R trims.
The popular CR-V lineup expands to include a new Sport-L trim level. It slots above the LX, EX, Sport, and EX-L on the menu but tucks in beneath the Sport Touring. Highlights of the new 2024 CR-V Sport-L include leather seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a power liftgate.
Honda redesigned the HR-V in 2023, so there are no changes in 2024. The small crossover SUV comes in LX, Sport, and EX-L trim with front or all-wheel drive.
It’s been almost 30 years since the first Honda Odyssey minivan went on sale in the United States. Honda last redesigned the family hauler in 2018and has made few changes since then. The 2024 model year is no different, with the Odyssey receiving no announced updates. Trim levels include EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite, each with a V6 engine powering the front wheels.
Honda makes a few changes to the 2024 Passport. It continues in EX-L and TrailSport trim levels, but the Elite says goodbye in favor of a new Black Edition.
You can probably guess what makes the Black Edition the Black Edition. You get blacked-out trim, black 20-inch wheels, black leather with red perforation accents, red contrast stitching, and red accent lighting. Naturally, it comes with black paint too. But you can opt for white, gray, or red as well.
All 2024 Passport models feature subtle styling updates and a new center console design with revised cupholders, improved storage, and a conventional center armrest.
TrailSport models get new all-terrain tires and a retuned off-road suspension for more articulation and added ride comfort. Also, the Passport TrailSport is now available in a new Diffused Sky Blue paint color.
Honda redesigned the Pilot in 2023, so the midsize three-row crossover SUV receives no changes in 2024. It continues in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, and Elite. They all have a V6 engine and front or all-wheel drive. The Pilot TrailSport is the one with extra off-roading capability.
Honda has previously sold electric vehicles in the United States. The EV Plus was the first, with a few hundred finding temporary homes in California (it was a lease-only proposition). Then came the Fit EV, followed by the Clarity Electric. None were raging successes.
Now, the 2024 Honda Prologue hopes to press the EV reset button for the automaker. It’s a two-row SUV available in EX, Touring, and Elite trim levels.
Longer and wider than a Honda CR-V, it offers up to 25.2 cubic feet of cargo behind the back seat and a maximum of 57.7 cu-ft with it folded down.
Single-motor front-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions are available. The dual-motor setup generates 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. An 85-kilowatt-hour battery provides an estimated 300 miles of driving range and can recharge at a rate of 65 miles in 10 minutes when using a 150-kilowatt DC fast charging station.
Inside, you’ll find an 11-inch digital instrumentation display and an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It features Google Built-in technology, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The automaker says the 2024 Prologue will have Honda Sensing advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) as standard equipment and will include blind-spot warning with steering assistance and rear cross-traffic warning with automatic braking for the first time on a Honda.
The Ridgeline pickup and Passport SUV have plenty in common, so it’s not surprising to learn that Honda is making similar changes to its crew-cab truck. For example, it gets the same new interior center console and similar exterior styling revisions.
In addition, the previous RTL-E trim level is gone, replaced by the new Ridgeline TrailSport with all-terrain tires, off-road suspension tuning, steel skid plates, and exclusive interior details. Like the Passport TrailSport, the Ridgeline TrailSport comes in a new Diffused Sky Blue paint color.
