After much anticipation, the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq debuts for 2023, offering 300-plus miles of emission-free driving in a low-riding, sleek-looking package. On the other end of the spectrum, the powerful Escalade-V arrives, with a fossil-fuel-burning, supercharged, 682-horsepower V8 engine motivating the big body-on-frame SUV. The rest of Cadillac's 2023 lineup of sedans and crossover SUVs carries over almost entirely unchanged.

The CT4 and CT4-V sport sedans stand pat for 2023. The only change is the availability of three new extra-cost paint colors: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Midnight Steel Metallic.
The high-performance CT4-V Blackwing, which was all-new for 2022, gets those same new color options plus Maverick Noir Frost, but that hue is only available with the limited-run IMSA Edition. There's also a new "Blackwing" badge on the trunk lid.
Changes to the slightly larger CT5 sedan mirror those of the CT4 (new premium paint colors, Blackwing trunk badge). The only additional item is that rear pedestrian detection is now standard on the CT5-V Blackwing.
As if the Cadillac Escalade wasn't big, bold, luxurious, and powerful enough, for 2023, the brand launches its first performance SUV—the Escalade-V. Packing a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 682 hp and 653 pound-feet of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive (AWD), Cadillac says the new Escalade-V can go from zero-to-60 mph in under 4.4 seconds.
In addition to the stout powertrain, the Escalade-V also features styling enhancements to increase the sportiness factor. On the exterior, items include a sport mesh grille, distinctive front and rear fascias, uniquely styled 22-inch wheels, Brembo front brakes with red brake calipers, and quad exhaust outlets. Inside, the Escalade-V comes standard with all the appointments from the Escalade's Platinum trim.
Changes to the base Escalade and extended-length Escalade ESV are minimal. There are three new extra-cost paint colors—Argent Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Dark Emerald Metallic—and a digital owner's manual is now accessible via the expansive 38-inch OLED touchscreen.
Cadillac's first all-electric SUV—the 5-passenger Lyriq—debuts for the 2023 model year. The new Lyriq features a low, wide stance with LED exterior lighting, a fixed-glass roof with a power-sliding interior shade, and Cadillac's signature vertical taillights.
Inside, there's a 33-inch advanced LED display that Cadillac says can emit over one billion colors, a Cadillac-exclusive 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, and an infotainment system with Google Built-in, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play. In terms of cargo capacity, the Lyriq offers 60.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seat folded.
Riding on GM's Ultium electric vehicle (EV) platform, the new Lyriq has a 102-kWh battery pack. It is available in single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) form or dual-motor AWD. The RWD version makes 340 hp from a single 255-kW electric motor and provides an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles on a single charge. The AWD version, meanwhile, uses 373-kW dual motors to generate 500 hp (range TBD). Like most new luxury EVs, the Lyriq features regenerative braking and one-pedal driving.
The smallest model in Cadillac's SUV lineup, the XT4 soldiers into 2023 with only a few changes. The Luxury trim gets standard lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning. Also, two new colors debut: Radiant Red Tintcoat (extra cost) and Argent Silver Metallic.
Like the XT4, the XT5 crossover sees few changes for the 2023 model year. Premium Luxury and Sport trims add navigation to the standard infotainment system, all trims get a compact spare tire, and there are three new exterior colors.
Cadillac's largest crossover SUV—the 3-row, 7-passenger XT6—also sees few changes for 2023. Like the XT5, an embedded navigation system is now standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trims. Those same two trims also get standard ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seats. Three new paint colors debut, as well.
