The 2026 Lexus RZ reinforces the automaker's commitment to dynamic, tech-forward luxury by adding more performance, range, and personality to its small, all-electric crossover SUV. Leading the charge is the new RZ 550e F Sport AWD. This performance-tuned trim level debuts a Lexus-first virtual manual shift system to deliver a more connected, driver-centric electric vehicle (EV) experience.

The 2026 RZ lineup now includes the front-wheel-drive (FWD) RZ 350e, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) RZ 450e, and the all-new RZ 550e F Sport AWD with 402 horsepower, propelling the SUV from zero-to-60 mph in a claimed 4.1 seconds. Lexus positions this trio to meet a broader range of driver needs, from efficiency-focused commuters to performance-seeking enthusiasts.
The F Sport version introduces M Mode, a virtual manual gear-shift system that uses paddle shifters to simulate gear changes, bringing an added layer of engagement to what's traditionally been an understated EV driving experience.
Alongside the boost in performance, Lexus upgrades the 2026 RZ's charging capabilities across the board. All trims now support the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and include an 11-kilowatt (kW) onboard AC charger—an improvement over the previous 7-kW system. Under ideal conditions, using a DC fast charger, the RZ’s battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes.
The estimated range varies by configuration, with the RZ 350e FWD offering up to 300 miles on a full charge, the RZ 450e AWD providing about 260 miles, and the RZ 550e F Sport AWD rated at approximately 225 miles, mainly due to its sportier tuning and larger wheels.
The RZ 550e F Sport visually stands out with aggressive blacked-out accents, including exclusive front and rear moldings, aero-enhancing 20-inch wheels, and an F Sport grille. Additionally, Wind—an exclusive new body color—is now available.
Inside, the RZ’s cabin continues the sporty theme with available blue-accented Ultrasuede trim, aluminum pedals, and a micro-geometric patterned center console. Lexus also expands its signature "Time in Design" lighting philosophy by introducing animated shadow illumination on the door panels. This feature subtly shifts with time to enhance the cabin's sense of motion and mood.
Lexus will announce final pricing and full specifications for the updated 2026 RZ closer to its on-sale date later this year.

The 2026 Lexus RZ competes with a growing list of luxury electric crossovers, including the Acura ZDX, Audi Q4 E-tron, Cadillac Optiq, Genesis Electrified GV70, Polestar 3, Tesla Model Y, and Volvo EX40. With improved range, faster charging, and an expanded lineup that caters to daily drivers and enthusiasts, the RZ positions Lexus as a serious player in the premium EV market.
