GMC continues to expand its premium Denali Ultimate portfolio with the 2026 GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate, providing exclusive design, comfort, and technology features for its popular midsize crossover SUV.

Essentially a sub-brand, Denali has represented the peak of GMC luxury for over 25 years. During this time, GMC has built more than 2 million Denali-trimmed trucks and SUVs. Highlighting the Denali’s popularity and significance to the brand, GMC says that nearly a third of its total sales in 2024 consisted of Denalis.
The automaker elevated things to new heights in 2022 with Denali Ultimate versions of its full-size trucks—the Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD—and the Yukon SUV. For 2026, the popular Acadia SUV becomes the latest addition to the Denali Ultimate lineup.
Distinctive exterior features of the Acadia Denali Ultimate include a unique Vader Chrome grille and GMC logo, LED daytime running lights with an animated sequence, and Denali Ultimate badging. GMC equips the new Acadia Denali Ultimate with machine-finished 22-inch aluminum wheels in an After Midnight Metallic finish, wrapped in all-season tires.
Inside, Denali Ultimate-exclusive features include massaging, heated, and ventilated front seats upholstered in Woodland Mahogany leather. GMC accents a section of the dashboard, seat backs, doors, and map pockets with embossed topographical maps—a Denali signature. The luxury treatment also features unique floor mats and Denali Ultimate badging on the seat backs. The Ultimate also comes with a standard panoramic sunroof.
Not limited to aesthetics, the Acadia Denali Ultimate also offers several tech-focused upgrades above and beyond the Denali package. Standard features on the Ultimate include Super Cruise hands-free driving and a 16-speaker Bose Performance Series premium audio system, both of which are optional extras on the regular Denali trim.
Mechanically, the Denali Ultimate uses the same powertrain as every other 2026 Acadia: a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It delivers 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, with a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
Besides introducing the new Denali Ultimate trim, GMC also announced that every 2026 Acadia crossover will come with a standard rearview camera mirror.
The 2026 GMC Acadia will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the third quarter of 2025, but the Denali Ultimate won’t be available until later in the year. GMC will announce pricing for the new Denali Ultimate closer to its release date.

By adding the new Denali Ultimate to the Acadia lineup, GMC seeks to capitalize on the popularity of its Denali brand to increase sales. However, the Acadia still faces strong competition from a range of upper midsize SUV rivals.
Generally, Acadia competitors include the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, Mazda CX-90, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Grand Highlander, and Volkswagen Atlas. Specifically, the Acadia Denali Ultimate will compete against the top trims of those models, along with near-luxury options such as the Acura MDX, Buick Enclave, and Lincoln Aviator.
