More than just a full-size luxury SUV, the thoroughly updated 2025 Lincoln Navigator is a veritable “spa on wheels,” according to the automaker, leveraging design and technology to coddle and rejuvenate occupants in all three rows.

Lincoln’s flagship SUV is available in Reserve and Black Label trim levels, and the 2025 Navigator comes in short and long (Navigator L) wheelbases. Black Label buyers can choose from three “themes”—Atmospheric, Enlighten, and Invitation—each offering a unique combination of colors and textures to personalize the ownership experience.
A twin-turbocharged V6 engine, four-wheel drive (4WD), and adaptive suspension are standard.

Being a full-size SUV, the Lincoln Navigator has always had a somewhat imposing presence. Things get even bolder for 2025. A new full-width lightbar spans the front of the vehicle, dissecting the sizeable black grille. The lightbar illuminates from the center outward as the driver approaches the vehicle. At the rear, the full-width taillights also light up as the driver approaches.
One intriguing new feature for 2025 is the Lincoln Split Gate—a split liftgate in which the top three-quarters raises like a traditional gate and the bottom quarter folds down. The lower portion of the gate not only eases loading and unloading but, with its 600-pound capacity, also provides extra seating for parking-lot tailgating. Owners can program the top or bottom portions to open automatically as they approach the SUV.
The optional Jet Appearance package includes black 22-inch wheels, a lit Lincoln star, and blacked-out exterior accents.

Lincoln designers focused much of their attention on the 2025 Navigator’s interior. One prominent feature is the 48-inch panoramic display that spans nearly the entire dashboard width. It contains the configurable driver cluster, navigation, infotainment, and other vehicle information. Four display themes are available: Constellation, Engage, Inspire, and Tranquil. Audio speakers flank either side of the wide-screen display.
The 2025 Lincoln Navigator offers standard seating for seven; an optional second-row bench seat increases seating capacity to eight. Naturally, leather seats are standard across the board. The driver’s seat is 24-way adjustable, while the front passenger’s seat can adjust 22 ways. Both front-row seats feature heating, cooling, and massage functions. The Navigator Black Label comes with 30-way-adjustable front seats and a wireless charging pad for those in the second row.
Second-row passengers get heated seats as well as their own audio and climate controls. The second row also has a power-folding feature for easier access to the third row. The third row is a power-folding, split bench with power recline and optional seat heaters.
The 2025 Navigator has several clever features to help drivers and passengers refresh and re-energize themselves while in motion or parked. For example, Lincoln Rejuvenate offers a multi-sensory experience to make the Navigator’s cabin more inviting. By combining sight, sound, touch, and scent, Lincoln Rejuvenate helps occupants to relax and recharge. Three themes are available: Aurora Borealis, Elements, and Waterfall Meditation.

A 440-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission power all 2025 Lincoln Navigator SUVs. Torque output measures 510 pound-feet. Four-wheel drive is standard, as is an adaptive damping suspension. Multiple drive-mode settings are available, including Conserve, Deep Conditions, Excite, Normal, Slippery, and Slow Climb (with the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow package).
As it is a full-size SUV, the Navigator can tow at least 8,400 pounds (8,700 with the optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow package). The SUV comes standard with Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist to make towing easier.
The 2025 Navigator Reserve comes standard with 22-inch wheels. Reserve models get Dark Tarnished aluminum wheels while the Black Label gets a High-Gloss Ebony Black finish. Luster Nickel 24-inch aluminum wheels are available for both trims; Black Label buyers can get the larger wheels in several finishes, depending on how they equip their SUV.

The 2025 Navigator comes standard with the latest version of Lincoln BlueCruise, the automaker’s hands-free driving-assistance technology that controls braking, acceleration, and steering while the driver remains attentive. It’s standard for four years and includes lane-changing assistance, allowing for lane changes with the tap of the turn signal. It also includes In-Lane Repositioning, which subtly moves the Navigator away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.
Other new advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on the Navigator include Turn Signal View and intersection turn assistance. The former lets you see what’s in the adjacent lane, while the latter helps prevent collisions when turning left at intersections.
The centerpiece of the Lincoln Digital Experience infotainment system is a new 48-inch panoramic display that sits atop the dashboard, spanning nearly the entire distance between the windshield pillars. Lincoln purposely placed the display up high, as near to the driver’s line of sight as possible. The new Pano mode plays video and gaming apps to either side of the display when the Navigator is in Park.
Occupants access the system via the 11.1-inch center stack touchscreen, voice commands, or steering wheel thumb controls. You can adjust climate controls, access the navigation system, or adjust music settings from there. Other standard features include Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Lincoln includes four years of premium connectivity with every vehicle purchase.
A 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D audio system is standard, as is HD Radio and SiriusXM satellite radio. Navigator buyers also get a one-year subscription to Calm, a wellness app that helps with sleep, stress, and mindful thinking.
Since the 1990s, the Navigator’s primary competitor has been the Cadillac Escalade—another traditional, body-on-frame, full-size luxury SUV. That continues for 2025. Cadillac last redesigned the Escalade for the 2021 model year, but a fully electric Escalade IQ joins a refreshed gas-powered model for 2025, providing formidable competition for the gas-only Navigator.
One relative newcomer to the Navigator’s list of rivals is the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and extended Grand Wagoneer L. Other large premium SUV contenders include the BMW X7, Infiniti QX80, Land Rover Range Rover, and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Each offers distinctive styling and varying levels of performance. What they all have in common, however, is a hefty price tag. While Lincoln has yet to announce pricing for the all-new 2025 Navigator, expect it to be similar to the 2024 model, which has a base price of $83,265.
Lincoln is the source of information in this article. It was accurate as of August 15, 2024, but it may have changed since that date. Always confirm product details and availability with the automaker’s website or your local dealership.
