Toyota completely redesigned one of their flagship models, the Camry, prioritizing aggressive styling. Toyota improved the interior of the Camry for a more comfortable interior and more safety features. Toyota took cues from its luxury Lexus line in this redesign. Camry also adds a hybrid option this year. The Avalon gets a new tire pressuring monitoring system. The Corolla XRS is discontinued, but the standard Corolla continues with few changes. Toyota introduces the sporty FJ Cruiser, a redesign of a classic Toyota, the FJ40, and the Yaris, a new subcompact that replaces the 2005-discontinued Echo. Toyota Highlander continues 2007 with redesigned headlights and more safety features. Most of Toyota’s other SUV models, including the 2006 redesigned Land Cruiser, saw little change. Toyota trimmed down Matrix offerings, sticking with its basic model and a special edition sports package. Many of Toyotas truck models increased safety features and performance with the Tundra completely redesigned.
