Both the Toyota Camry Solara coupe and convertible have been freshened for 2007, with changes including a new grille, redesigned headlights, integrated fog lights, and restyled LED taillights. Front and rear curtain air bags are a new standard feature on the coupe. The Solara SPT has been renamed the Solara SE Sport, and it now includes Optitron gauges.

A convertible version was introduced in 2000, with two new body colors and ULEV low-emission status. Updates to trim levels and packages marked the only changes for 2001. In 2002, the Camry Solara got a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a redesigned grille, new front and rear bumpers, new head and tail lamps, a new steering wheel, standard daytime running lights and keyless remote. In 2003, the manual transmission on V6 models was discontinued. An all-new Camry Solara graced showroom floors in 2004, offering a new design, an updated interior and higher quality materials. Model years 2005-2006 saw minor updates to the trim levels and packages. A restyled front and rear with new head and tail lamps, a new MP3 CD player, satellite radio and Bluetooth integration, tire-pressure monitoring system and front side airbags rounded out the changes for 2007. The Camry Solara would enter 2008 unchanged.
