Service Connect relies on an integrated telematics unit and cellular connectivity. Toyota Service Connect comes with a free trial when you purchase a new vehicle. For most U.S. models, this trial lasts up to 10 years. For older models that don’t have Toyota’s new multimedia system, the trial may be up to five years. After the trial expires, the owner will need to sign up for a subscription, which is usually based on an annual fee.
