Like many other auto brands, Mazda offers its own in-car infotainment system. Known as Mazda Connect, this system provides access to various information, entertainment, and navigation functions while enabling smartphone connectivity.
Before diving into the machinations of Mazda's infotainment system, it’s important to delineate between Mazda Connect and Mazda Connected Services. With such similar names, it's easy to confuse the two offerings.
While Mazda Connect is a hardwired system with which the driver interfaces using the vehicle's main dashboard screen, Mazda Connected Services is a subscription service that acts as more of a personal assistant, allowing remote interaction between mobile phone and vehicle. The Mazda Connect Services features are available through the MyMazda mobile device app and include remote vehicle control (engine start/stop, door lock/unlock), vehicle status reports, and service appointment booking.
Mazda Connect utilizes a widescreen display atop the dashboard and skewed toward the driver. Drivers control the system via a multi-function rotary dial, located on the center console for easy reach and operation. The dial moves between functions and scrolls menu items within Mazda Connect. Pressing down on the controller allows the driver to make selections.
For added convenience, there are shortcut buttons for commonly used features. These include Home, Entertainment, Map, and Favorites. Mazda Connect also offers steering wheel controls for drivers who prefer to keep both hands on the wheel. These include voice recognition, talking on the phone, moving through audio tracks, and adjusting volume.

The Mazda Connect system has five main areas: Communication, Information, Navigation, Entertainment, and Settings, all presented on the Home screen. Beyond its built-in programming, the system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to allow owners to mirror the functionality of their mobile devices.
This functionality allows you to stay focused on the road while being connected to your mobile device by offering the following features:

Mazda Connect provides general mapping and route guidance (built-in Mazda system, Apple Maps, Google Maps) on an easy-to-view dashboard-top HD screen with some unique highlights:
Another aspect of Mazda Connect is its wide choice of listening (and watching) options:
Mazda Connect offers adjustable settings across multiple systems to customize your driving experience:
Mazda Connect received some upgrades for 2024, starting with the Mazda MX-5 Miata. All Miatas benefit from a new display with touch functionality when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The system also brings Mazda's first integration of Alexa, allowing the ability to control smart home devices remotely.
The new 2025 Mazda CX-70 also includes some enhancements, including a larger 12.3-inch fully digital display with an available head-up Active Driving Display projected onto the windshield. And CarPlay will now offer Mazda Online Navigation.
Mazda Connect is an integrated infotainment system that provides a fully connected experience, making driving safer, more enjoyable, and better informed.
