Chrysler, the company that launched the modern minivan segment in 1984, is giving its popular 2027 Chrysler Pacifica a nose job and introducing a special edition commemorating America’s 250th birthday.

In addition to a fresh face, the 2027 Pacifica features a new illuminated wing badge. While front styling and logo updates typically are not very exciting, especially on a minivan, this update is noteworthy because the new face and logo will also appear on future Chrysler models.
The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is available in four trim levels: LX, Select, Limited, and Pinnacle. The LX trim is new for 2027, replacing the previous Chrysler Voyager, an affordable, bare-bones version of the van. Notably, the base LX trim does not receive the new front styling that the rest of the 2027 Pacifica lineup does.
In addition to the new LX value leader, Chrysler is making the 2027 Pacifica available in a new America250 (A250) special edition, available on the Select trim, to commemorate the U.S.A.’s semi quincentennial. The Pacifica A250 package features exclusive patriotic exterior details, including U.S. flag decals and “America250” badges. Naturally, the Pacifica A250 is available in red, white, or blue.

In other news, the top-spec Pinnacle is available with an exclusive new Blue Agave Nappa leather interior featuring copper accents. Olive Green paint debuts for 2027, with Ember, Glass Gray, and Steel Blue joining the palette later in the year. New 18- and 20-inch wheel designs are available for the Limited and Pinnacle trims. A new power liftgate with adjustable height is standard equipment.
Chrysler also makes changes to its technology feature packaging in 2027, separating the Pacifica’s Theater Group from the Family Tech Group to give buyers more choice and flexibility for their in-vehicle entertainment.
All 2027 Pacifica minivans are powered by the same 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, producing 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard; all-wheel drive (AWD) is available on all trims except the base LX. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the FWD Pacifica gets 22 mpg combined, while the AWD version gets 20 mpg.
With the destination charge, pricing for the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica ranges from $43,490 for the base LX to $56,905 for the top-tier Pinnacle trim. All-wheel drive on the top three trims costs an additional $2,995.

In addition to the Pacifica, a small handful of well-established minivans remain in the segment, including popular models from Honda, Kia, and Toyota. The only other minivan to offer AWD, besides the Pacifica, is the Toyota Sienna, which is available exclusively as a hybrid, giving it an edge in fuel economy.
Another popular choice, the Kia Carnival, offers accessible pricing and bold SUV styling that sets it apart from the competition. It is also available as a hybrid but does not offer AWD. Finally, the Honda Odyssey is another top seller despite not offering AWD or a hybrid variant. The Odyssey’s spacious cabin and strong driving dynamics help keep it competitive.
While the Pacifica’s 2027 upgrades are notable, they do not mark a significant improvement over the prior year. It is not the cheapest minivan on the market, nor does it deliver the best fuel economy. Still, the Pacifica is the only minivan to offer fold-flat seating in the second and third rows, and it has been a strong competitor in the segment since its introduction more than 40 years ago.
