It's hard to imagine, but it's been three years since Buick fully transitioned to an all-SUV lineup in the United States. For 2024, the domestic automaker rolls out yet another new crossover SUV model, the subcompact Envista, serving as the entry point to new Buick ownership. In other 2024 Buick news, the tiny Encore GX gets a new look and some upscale features, while the compact Envision SUV gets a mild refresh. Buick's other SUV, the midsize Enclave, carries over unchanged. Here's a rundown of what's new for each Buick model for 2024.

Buick's largest model, the Enclave upper midsize SUV, carries over for 2024 completely unchanged. With seating for up to seven, the 3-row Enclave comes in Essence, Premium, and Avenir trim levels. All-wheel drive is available on all trims, and the top-spec Avenir offers unique luxury touches at an affordable price. A 310-horsepower V6 works with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the same as last year.
It may be small, but the Encore GX is Buick's biggest seller. For 2024, Buick gives its popular small crossover SUV a new face, complete with the brand's new tri-shield logo. Also available for the first time in 2024 is the Encore GX Avenir, bringing unique and upscale features. The Sport Touring package gets a sportier look and feel, and a new Virtual Cockpit debuts, featuring an 8-inch driver information display next to an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen. For the math-challenged among us, that's 19 inches of continuous screen measured diagonally.
The compact Envision SUV gets a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, bringing updated styling inside and out. A new grille and front fascia inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept complement a refreshed hood featuring the new brand logo. The interior also sees a refresh, though details are scant at the moment. Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver-assistance technology also debuts on the 2024 Envision. However, Buick has yet to share precisely which trim levels will offer it. The standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and 9-speed automatic transmission will likely carry over.
Arguably Buick's most stylish SUV, the new Envista debuts for 2024, sitting beneath the smaller (but more expensive) Encore GX. According to the automaker, the new Envista is the first Buick model to fully adopt the brand's new look based on the Wildcat EV concept. The Envista's relatively long wheelbase and low roof give it a much sleeker profile than the stubby, more upright Encore GX.
Available in base Preferred, mid-level Sport Touring, and upscale Avenir trims, the new Envista has a turbocharged 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that works with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Envista is front-wheel-drive only; AWD is not available. However, this is likely not an issue for the typical, city-dwelling Envista buyer.
The Envista has the same 19-inch infotainment touchscreen/driver information display combo as the Encore GX. It also comes packed with standard driver-assistance technologies, including the Buick Driver Confidence package. Like all Buicks, the new Envista offers a strong value proposition, not to mention genuine good looks.
