Changes to the 2023 Acura Models

Liz Kim | Nov 15, 2022

Acura giveth, and Acura taketh away. For 2023, the premium Japanese automaker loses an iconic supercar, the NSX, from its stable while resurrecting the Integra, an equally legendary sport compact hatchback. The three other Acura models see little change for the 2023 model year.

2023 Acura Integra Changes - Find the best Acura deals!

For 2023, Acura revives the beloved Integra nameplate, last seen in 2001. The 5-door sport compact hatchback stays true to its roots with its front-wheel-drive (FWD), front-engine agility. Acura builds the new Integra on parent Honda’s Global Small Car architecture, which it shares with the Honda Civic.

Acura adorns the Integra with premium materials, flashy styling cues inside and out, and state-of-the-art safety and infotainment technology. Three trim levels are available for the Integra: base, A-Spec, and A-Spec with Technology. Under the hood is a 200-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. Most Integras come with a continuously variable transmission. There’s a 6-speed manual option for driving purists, but it’s only available on the top A-Spec with Technology trim.

2023 Acura MDX Changes - Find the best Acura deals!

The 3-row MDX midsize crossover SUV comes with three years of AcuraLink. This connected services package can operate certain features with Alexa-enabled devices and your phone to get feedback on your driving performance and enable features like Find my Car and geofencing. Customers will also receive free scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 24,000 miles. Otherwise, the Acura MDX—entering the second year of its fourth generation—sees no changes for 2023. Two powertrains are available: a 290-hp 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission with available all-wheel drive (AWD) that serves as the base engine, or a 355-hp, turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with standard AWD for the MDX Type S.

2023 Acura RDX Changes - Find the best Acura deals!

After a refresh for 2022, the Acura RDX compact SUV has no changes for 2023. Available in four flavors—Technology, A-Spec Technology, Advance, and A-Spec Advance—the RDX gets its motivation from a 272-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, with your choice of FWD or AWD. A solid list of features in the infotainment and safety front shore up every RDX. At the same time, Acura reserves goodies like adaptive suspension dampers and a head-up display for top trim levels.

2023 Acura TLX Changes - Find the best Acura deals!

The Acura TLX was all-new for 2021. For 2023, the compact sport sedan sees only the addition of the Type S PMC, of which only 300 examples are available. With three new paint colors previously only available for the now-defunct NSX, the Type S PMC Edition further adds a black roof and other black accents, unique badging, a carbon fiber spoiler and rear diffuser, and a cabin with distinctive flourishes like red stitching and carbon fiber trim panels.

Under the hood is a 272-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine for the base, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance trim levels. Front-wheel drive is standard; AWD is optional. Meanwhile, a 355-hp, turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 motivates the top-of-the-line Type S, which comes standard with AWD.
