2010 Toyota Ratings, Reviews and Awards
2010 was a good year for Toyota. The Japanese automobile manufacturer featured a lineup of 19 main models, and several sub-models, in 2010. Among these were the all-new Toyota Prius and 4Runner. Already a popular and highly-rated vehicle, the Prius received a complete overhaul for 2010. Now, in its third-generation, it features a powerful 1.8L four-cylinder engine that creates 134 horsepower when combined with the electric motor. However, the 2010 Prius is most notable for its amazing 51 miles per gallon in the city and 48 miles per gallon on the highway. The combined 50 miles per gallon has the single best gas mileage of any vehicle in the United States in 2010. The rugged and stylish 4Runner also received a major overhaul in 2010. Among the most notable improvements of the fifth generation 4Runner are the 2.7L four-cylinder base model engine, option third row of seating, and four-speed automatic transmission. A special model is available with a 4.0L V6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission that produces up to 270 horsepower.
