Acura has announced that the limited-production 2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition is now available to reserve at Acura.com.
The TLX Type S PMC Edition inherits many of the same tech and materials seen in the NSX supercar, and it created quite a buzz when it was revealed this summer. The PMC Edition is handcrafted by the same technicians who build the NSX Type S and is the first to be offered in multiple color options.
The Y-spoke 20-inch lightweight wheels draw inspiration from the NSX and are painted in a new Copper-finish, marking a first for Acura. There are a multitude of exterior design elements that are exclusive to the TLX Type S PMC Edition. Some of the most notable features include Berlina Black paint for the roof, door handles, and black-chrome quad exhaust finishers. Additional enhancements include a gloss carbon fiber decklid lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and gloss-black exterior badging.
The PMC Edition is further distinguished in the interior, with illuminated side sills, carbon fiber interior trim panels, and premium floor mats featuring Type S badges. Standard features also include Milano leather seats with Ultrasuede® inserts and an individually-numbered serial plaque on the lower console, further designating the 2023 TLX Type S PMC Edition as a limited-edition vehicle.
While the TLX Type S is a premium performance sedan, it doesn’t sacrifice a luxury car's everyday usability and comfort. All TLX Type S and TLX Type S PMC Edition models come equipped with 16-way driver and front passenger sport seats, complete with power-adjustable bolsters, 10.2-inch audio and information display operated with Acura's True Touchpad Interface, and an ELS STUDIO 3D 17-speaker premium audio system.
There will be a limited production run of the 2023 TLX Type S PMC Edition, with only 300 units allocated for the U.S. market. Acura offers 100 units each of three premium colors – Long Beach Blue, Curva Red, and 130R White, all of which are also available on the NSX.
Reservations for Curva Red initially opened on October 6th, with reservations for the 130R White to follow on November 9th. The final color option, Long Beach Blue, becomes available to reserve on December 8th. MSRP for the new limited-edition 2023 Acura TLX Type S Edition is expected to be in the low-to-mid $60,000’s.
The 2027 Civic Type R goes on sale in October 2026, and it starts at $49,990, including the $1,295 destination charge.
