Dodge closes the doors on its gas-guzzling muscle car era as the Challenger coupe and Charger sedan bid farewell for the 2024 model year. Fear not, however, as Dodge plans to introduce all-electric models bearing their familiar names in the future. That leaves the Durango and Hornet SUVs as the only models on the Dodge roster. Here are their changes for the 2024 model year.

For 2024, Dodge makes only minor changes to the Durango midsize SUV, starting with standard blind-spot warning across the lineup. Choose the Trailer Tow Group option and you’ll get standard blind-spot monitoring with Trailer Detect, which accounts for the additional length of the trailer.
Dodge offers the Tow N Go package for the Citadel trim level, previously only available for the R/T. It delivers increased towing capacity to 8,700 pounds and a claimed top speed of 145 mph. It also has enhanced performance equipment, additional drive modes, and a distinctive SRT-inspired exhaust note.
Otherwise, the handsome SUV continues with four engine choices ranging from a 293-horsepower V6 to a screaming 710-hp supercharged V8 in rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration.
Debuting for 2024 is the Dodge Hornet R/T, which boasts the first-ever electrified Dodge powertrain. The plug-in hybrid delivers 33 miles of all-electric range when fully charged. Along with the electric motor and the turbocharged 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine, a total of 288 hp drives the standard AWD system. Two trim levels are available: base R/T and R/T Plus.
Other changes to the gas-only Dodge Hornet, introduced in 2023 as an all-new model, are minor. They include a newly standard power liftgate for the Hornet R/T Plus and GT Plus trim levels, along with the addition of a parallel and perpendicular park-assist system in the Tech Pack package. Dodge offers the Hornet in GT and GT Plus trim levels. A 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine powers both.
