Thom Blackett | Dec 07, 2020

Chrysler enters the 2021 model year with new and more broadly available safety features for its three models. The brand’s popular Pacifica minivan sees the most improvements with a new trim level, styling updates, and infotainment enhancements.

Chrysler has cut the 300C and Limited trim levels from the 300 lineup, leaving only the Touring, Touring L, and S. The top two variants get new standard safety features including blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and front and rear parking sensors. The Chrysler 300S now comes with a standard Red S Appearance Package with black accents and 20-inch wheels.

Additionally, Chrysler is offering a pair of new option packages for the 2021 300 Touring L and 300S. Highlights from them include a panoramic sunroof, 9-speaker surround sound system, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and LED interior illumination.

Chrysler added all-wheel-drive capability to a special version of the Pacifica late in the 2020 model year, and now it is available as an option on all non-hybrid Pacifica trim levels. The Pacifica Hybrid returns in front-wheel-drive Touring and Touring L versions only.

A revised grille, several new wheel designs, and LED lighting provide a slightly updated appearance, while safety gets a boost with standard forward collision warning featuring automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, and an interior “FamCam” camera that helps keep an eye on passengers. An optional Safety Sphere Package adds a surround-view exterior camera coupled with a parking-assistance system.

Chrysler has added a new Pinnacle trim level to top off the Pacifica lineup, and an updated Uconnect 5 infotainment system features a 10.1-inch screen, Amazon Alexa integration, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and TomTom navigation.
