Kia has cancelled the boxy, personality-rich Soul after a three-generation production run, leaving the more conservative, traditional 2026 Seltos as the automaker's entry level crossover SUV. Do not worry, a redesigned 2027 Kia Seltos is coming soon, infused with technology and wearing the modern, edgy, and distinctive styling you can find on the company's existing EV9 and upcoming 2027 Telluride models.

Kia introduced the all-new 2027 Seltos in Korea. Some details for the North American market remain unconfirmed. However, if the photos of the redesigned Seltos are any indication, it should sell well on styling alone.
According to Kia, the new Seltos will offer improved interior space and everyday usability, with enhanced comfort, next generation technology, and improved driving dynamics. The lineup will include new rugged X-Line and sporty GT-Line trim levels, while the photo above suggests the stylish SX Prestige will remain available. More details and prices will be available closer to the small SUV's on-sale date, sometime in 2026.
Available cabin upgrades include several appealing features, such as:

Two 12.3-inch display screens are available, arranged side-by-side behind a single panel of glass. Kia says the infotainment system features an AI Assistant powered by ChatGPT, and that access to YouTube and Netflix will be available through the Kia Connect store.
Kia says it has tuned the 2027 Seltos for smooth and stable driving dynamics. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine will be available, with a hybrid version arriving after the gas-only models go on sale. Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes tailor the SUV's dynamic character accordingly.
The latest advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) will also be available for the 2027 Seltos. They include numerous collision-avoidance systems, a surround view camera, a safe exit assistance system, and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2). With HDA2, the adaptive cruise control and lane centering assistance systems provide semi-autonomous driving capability on highways. It is not a hands-free system, though, so drivers must keep their hands on the steering wheel.

When the 2027 Kia Seltos arrives, it will battle numerous rivals in one of the most competitive vehicle segments in the United States. Will it sell better than the outgoing Seltos? Almost certainly. And it sure appears to be more stylish and sophisticated than a Chevrolet Trailblazer, Honda HR-V, Toyota Corolla Cross, or Volkswagen Taos.
