These studies collect feedback from large, representative samples of verified customers who have used products or services, rather than the opinions of editors or experts, to determine the winners in each category.

Can You Buy JD Power Awards? 

No, companies cannot buy a JD Power Award win. 

The research behind JD Power Awards is self-funded and independently conducted, and ranked brands do not pay to participate. 

The brand(s) that ranks highest in each of the segments profiled and meets predetermined award criteria have the opportunity to promote their award publicly through the JD Power licensing program. 

Can You Buy a JD Power Trophy? 

Only brands that earn JD Power awards by ranking highest in award-eligible syndicated studies may purchase JD Power trophies. 

JD Power awarded brands can purchase physical trophies and merchandise to showcase their achievement to customers, employees, and industry stakeholders. 

How Are Awards Determined? 

Each year, JD Power conducts self-funded, independent surveys with millions of consumers to better understand their opinions, perceptions, and expectations about a variety of products and services.  

The brands, products, or services that earn the highest index ranking based on feedback from a representative sample of verified customers determine the award recipient. 

How Do You Get a JD Power Award?
