GMC is announcing its upgraded 2024 Canyon model and the debut of the first-ever Canyon AT4X AEV Edition, underscoring the automaker's commitment to exceptional off-road performance. The innovative developments follow less than a year after unveiling the next-generation 2023 Canyon.
"The new models reflect GMC's intention to provide customers with unparalleled off-roading experiences," said Duncan Aldred, Global Vice President of Buick-GMC. "Building on the success of our Sierra LD and HD AT4X AEV Editions, we're now applying this winning formula to the next-generation Canyon."

The new Canyon AT4X AEV Edition builds on the reputation of the next-generation Canyon as the most capable and premium off-road-focused midsize truck in its segment. The Canyon AT4X AEV Edition introduces a slew of enhanced features, including:
"The Canyon AT4X is an extraordinary platform when it comes to on- and off-road performance," said AEV CEO and founder Dave Harriton. "We've harnessed our unique approach to elevate the Canyon AT4X’s off-road capability, making it a must-have for discerning overland enthusiasts seeking luxury, technology, and capability in a midsize platform."
The 2024 model also sees the introduction of an enhanced Baja drive mode and the Ultifi Platform, GM’s new vehicle software platform. This technology allows software updates and new feature additions to be delivered over the air, a first for the Canyon lineup.

Duncan Aldred stated, "The market continues to experience a surge of interest in the midsize space. The next-generation GMC Canyon and the all-new Canyon AT4X AEV Edition have been designed to deliver on customers' demand for a capable, premium vehicle equipped with purposeful technology."
The next-generation Canyon will be manufactured at GM’s Wentzville Assembly in Wentzville, Missouri. Customers can expect the 2024 Canyon AT4X AEV Edition to be available for orders later this year.
