The sixth-generation Camaro stands out as a paragon of agility and style, having made a noteworthy splash in the automotive industry since its 2016 release. The car's illustrious history has been punctuated by numerous special editions, each with its distinctive charm, including the memorable 50th Anniversary, Wild Cherry Design Package, Shock and Steel, and Redline Edition. As the sixth-generation Camaro takes its final bow at the end of the 2024 model year, Chevrolet has chosen to honor its legacy by unveiling a limited-edition Camaro Collector’s Edition available in LT/RS, LT1, SS and ZL1 trims in North America.

The 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition harks back to the original Camaro, fondly codenamed 'Panther' during its development in the 1960s. This nickname significantly shaped the creative decisions the Chevrolet Performance Design Studio undertook while conceptualizing this final edition.
Rich Scheer, design director at Chevrolet Performance, expressed, “We found it fitting for this Collector’s Edition Camaro to officially recognize the significance of the original code name and share it with Camaro enthusiasts. Notably, the name ‘Panther’ guided the choice of colors, Panther Black Metallic for SS and Panther Matte Black for ZL1.”
The LT/RS, LT1, and SS trims of the Collector’s Edition feature a novel Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint job, Satin Black accent stripes, and the option of 20-inch Satin Black or Polished Forged Wheels. The car also sports the front splitter from the 1LE package, while the coupes get the rear spoiler from the ZL1 package.
Limited to a production run of just 350 units, the LT4-powered ZL1 Collector’s Edition, with its impressive 650 horsepower, stands out with its factory-offered Panther Black Matte exterior color. It is also adorned with a front splitter from the ZL1 1LE and a rear wing from ZL1 1LE on coupes, complemented by a Black Metallic ZL1 stripe, red brake calipers, and black lug nuts. The interior of each ZL1 Collector’s Edition will carry a serialized steering wheel badge marking its unique build sequence.
All the Camaro Collector’s Edition variants feature unique front fender script badging with a panther motif integrated into the “R,” a panther emblem on the steering wheel badge, special floor mats bearing a laser-etched aluminum Collector’s Edition logo, and a distinctive black interior treatment.

Camaro Collector’s Edition owners will receive a welcome kit that includes two commemorative posters illustrating the Camaro generations and the Collector’s Edition. Specifically, ZL1 Collector’s Edition owners will be presented with a unique Canfield Sport 45mm watch from Shinola. This watch is a wearable memento of the Camaro's legacy, adorned with Camaro and panther motifs with a matching serial number on their vehicle’s steering wheel badge.
Shinola CEO Awenate Cobbina commented, “Shinola is proud to share a legacy for quality, craftsmanship, and performance with the Camaro nameplate, and we cherish the Detroit heritage that both Shinola and Chevrolet have.”
The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro will remain available in both coupe and convertible on LT, LT1, SS, and ZL1 trims, with the 1LE remaining an option on SS and ZL1. Power options include the 3.6L V6, 6.2L LT1 V8, and the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8, and new exterior colors Riptide Blue and Nitro Metallic Yellow are available across all trims.
Anticipation is already high as Chevrolet dealers prepare to start accepting orders for the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro from June 15. The starting MSRP for the LT coupe is set at $32,495, while the LT convertible will be available from $38,495.
The 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition represents more than just the end of a generation; it symbolizes a celebration of the innovation, performance, and design that have been tenets of the Camaro lineage. Each variant of this final special edition embodies the essence of the 'Panther,' a name fundamental to the Camaro's heritage that still echoes its spirit. This exceptional tribute to an iconic vehicle is a fitting farewell to the sixth-generation Camaro, leaving an indelible mark on automotive history.
With its unique design features, exceptional power, and exclusive extras like the Shinola watch for ZL1 owners, the 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition is not just another car; it's a piece of Camaro history that enthusiasts will treasure.
As we bid farewell to the sixth-generation Camaro, the excitement for what lies ahead is palpable. What's clear is that, even as this chapter closes, the Camaro legacy will continue to inspire and innovate in the realm of performance vehicles, leaving an enduring impact on the automotive landscape.
