Except for the new Defender OCTA, a vehicle the luxury SUV maker says is the most all-terrain-capable of the lot, Land Rover and its Range Rover sub-brand present minor changes to the lineup for the 2025 model year. Industry observers expected the lull as the brand eagerly awaits the arrival of the Range Rover Electric, the first in what is expected to be a string of battery-electric Range Rover and Land Rover offerings.

With outstanding off- and on-road performance, the new Defender OCTA is the most off-road-capable model in the 2025 Defender lineup. Inspired by the durability of diamonds, its OCTA name connotes toughness. Its twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter mild-hybrid V8 engine produces 626 horsepower, enabling the SUV to accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in a claimed 3.8 seconds. Pitch and roll control comes courtesy of its sophisticated 6D Dynamics suspension, and the new OCTA Mode improves its off-road capabilities.
Meanwhile, simplified trim levels and specs mark the Defender's 2025 updates. New second-row captain’s chairs on the Defender 130 provide convenient access to the third row. At the same time, Land Rover includes off-road and towing enhancements in a variety of the Defender’s option packages.
The 2025 Discovery lineup now comes with standard front fog lights, and the Cold Climate package now includes heated second-row seats. Also, for 2025, the SUV’s Technology package features a head-up display and Wi-Fi hotspot, solar-reducing windshield, interior ambient lighting, center console refrigerator, four-zone climate control, cabin air purification, and a power liftgate.
For 2025, the Discovery Sport offers equipment packages for comfort-seekers, cyclists, and dog owners. The last comes with a pet carrier, water bowl, rinsing system, and a quilted cargo compartment floor liner. The Biking Adventures package includes floor mats, mudflaps, and a bike carrier. The Comfort package adds climate control and ambient interior lighting.
The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover SE variant has Meridian surround sound, a 550e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain, 23-inch alloy wheels, tailgate seats, full-size spares, and a towing pack. However, the PHEV vehicles do not have these features. Illuminated treadplates are still standard, but the activity key bracelet is discontinued.
The Evoque debuted a new infotainment system, a wireless charging pad as standard, and a simplified trim structure for the 2024 model year. Besides minor shifts to the paint color palette, the Evoque is primarily unchanged for 2025.
For 2025, the Range Rover Sport launches a new Stealth look kit available only on the P400 Dynamic SE trim. This package includes 23-inch wheels, black brake calipers, gloss black accents, and Carpathian Grey metallic paint.
The Velar had an extensive facelift in 2024, with updated exterior features, new interior upholstery options, a newer infotainment system, and engine changes, so the updates for 2025 are minor. The 2025 Velar adds standard proximity locking and unlocking and enhancements to its driver-assistance functions.
