Genesis Motors North America has announced changes for the 2021 model year. The big news is the introduction of a completely new model, the GV80 luxury SUV, and the total remake of a current model, the G80 luxury sedan. Changes to the other Genesis vehicles are minor, but more changes are on the way for 2022.

The Genesis G70 sedan line is simpler for the 2021 model year. Trims include 2.0T and 3.3T, with Sport and Elite designations canceled in favor of additional standard equipment. A manual transmission remains available, but not for long, so get one while you can.
The Genesis G80 sedan is completely redesigned for the 2021 model year. With a dramatically different design, re-imagined interior, and all-new mechanical components, the 2021 G80 blends passenger comfort, safety, and performance. One example of the car's advanced technology is Smart Cruise Control with Machine Learning that incorporates artificial intelligence within the advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) to enable the car to learn its driver's driving habits.
Revisions to the Genesis G90 sedan are minor for the 2021 model year. There are no mechanical changes, and a new 19-inch wheel design is the only exterior change. Inside 2021 G90 models have leatherette rather than genuine leather covering the dashboard, and over-the-air updates and dynamic voice recognition are now standard technology features.
A hoped-for game-changer for the brand, the all-new 2021 Genesis GV80 luxury midsize crossover gives Hyundai's luxury marque its first SUV, a much-needed competitive move since SUVs now dominate luxury sales. The GV80 offers an understated, athletic exterior, a richly luxurious interior, and a choice between two turbocharged engines. All-wheel drive is available on the GV80 2.5T and standard on the GV80 3.5T.
