The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition debuts with rugged styling, exclusive decals, off-road accessories, and standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
The updates to the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition SUV are mainly cosmetic. It features exclusive basket-weave 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, black exterior accents, custom graphics, and specialized accessories for weekend adventures.
The new Mitsubishi SUV variant features black Trail Edition decals on the hood, a black hood garnish, black front and rear skid bumper garnish, black mirror covers, black door handles, extended fender trim, and a blacked-out Dynamic Shield grille surround.
Inside, Mitsubishi provides all-weather floor mats for all three rows, along with a custom cargo-area mat designed for easy access to the Outlander’s third-row seating. Leather upholstery is standard, as are heated front seats and a power panoramic sunroof.
Available dealer-installed accessories include Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail all-terrain tires, Thule Caprock roof-rack systems, and a range of Thule-branded attachments for bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, fishing gear, and more. A mountain-themed side graphic is also available.
Like all 2025 Outlander SUVs, the Trail Edition benefits from broader updates to the lineup, including enhanced steering feel, improved ride comfort, a larger center console, new cupholders, and a wireless smartphone charger.
Standard tech features include Mi-Pilot Assist with adaptive cruise control and traffic-jam assist, LED headlights and fog lights, five USB-C ports, heated windshield wipers, and a Dynamic Sound by Yamaha eight-speaker audio system.
Trim levels available on the 2025 Outlander include the ES, SE, SE Tech Package, Trail Edition, SEL, and SEL Premium Package.
Powering the Trail Edition is the same setup as the SE trim—a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Mitsubishi’s Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system is included as standard, providing AWD performance.
