2008 Nissan Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Responding to demands for greater fuel efficiency and increased style, Nissan entered the crossover market with the introduction of the Rogue in 2008. The Rogue is based on the same platform as the Sentra (which itself got a makeover in 2008) and was Nissan's first attempt at creating a fuel-efficient, compact crossover. The Rogue features a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). 2008 was also a pivotal year for the Sentra, which increased in size from compact to mid-size, as the car grew in length, width and height. The 2008 Sentra also offered greater fuel economy compared to earlier models, a CVT and security features. Nissan also made some changes to its Versa models, the brand's entry-level compact cars, including the introduction of a Sport Package and the introduction of cruise control on S-level trims.
