The Nissan Armada returns for 2020 without too many changes. A new 22-inch wheel package is available, but also comes standard on Platinum Reserve trims, while heated exterior mirrors are now standard across the entire Armada range.

The Nissan Armada returns for 2019 with relatively minor changes. Intelligent cruise control, forward emergency braking, and Rear Door Alert which alerts the driver to a rear passenger door being opened at the beginning of the trip but not the end. The system is designed to remind the driver of items, pets, or small children left behind.

After a full redesign last year, the Armada returns for 2018 with relatively minor changes. NissanConnect is now standard across all model grades, as is a new USB charging port. A Platinum Reserve model is also new for 2018, which includes dark chrome exterior trim, a premium wood trimmed interior and 20-inch wheels.

The 8-passenger Nissan Armada is completely redesigned for 2017. The full-size SUV is built on the Patrol platform used throughout the world, which provides for rugged body-on-frame construction and features completely new styling inside and out. The 5.6L V8 has been tweaked as well, and it now delivers 390 horsepower -- up from the previous 317 -- through a new 7-speed transmission. A host of advanced safety features are available, and the new Armada can be specified in either 2- or 4-wheel drive. Pricing starts at just under $45,000.

The Nissan Armada is mostly unchanged for 2015 save for a few improvements to various interior trim pieces and a new set of optional 20-inch wheels. The revised interior includes standard power lumbar support for the driver, while the optional 20-inch wheels are made from an aluminum alloy.

For 2014, the Nissan Armada sees no big changes.

For 2013, the Nissan Armada sees only minor changes. Among them is a new Platinum Reserve package, which adds 20-inch dark chrome wheels, grille and mirrors, as well as special leather and interior appointments to the top-of-the-line Platinum trim. A power 4-way passenger seat and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity are now standard on SV models, while USB and VTR ports are standard on all models.

The Armada stays mostly the same for 2012, apart from the SL and Platinum models receiving a power liftgate and the Platinum model gets 2nd-row heated seats.

The biggest change for the 2011 Nissan Armada is a renaming of two of the SUV's three trim levels. The Armada SV replaces the previous Armada SE and the Armada SL replaces the previous Titanium model. The Armada Platinum continues unchanged. Other changes include the addition of one new exterior color, Espresso Black and the previous Stone interior color has been replaced with a new Almond color.

Very little has changed for the 2010 Armada, with only minor changes to the front and rear fascia. There are now three trim levels rather than two: SE, Titanium and Platinum. XM NavTraffic real-time traffic monitoring is a new option with the navigation system and the rear seats can be had with PowerFold, which automatically stows the seats for a flat load floor.

For 2009, Nissan's Armada SUV sees few changes following its light restyle in 2008, limited primarily to a slight reshuffling of options packages. Prices across the range have increased by between $1,000 and $2,000.

For 2008, Nissan's Armada SUV gets a revised appearance on the outside, with new front and rear fascias, new headlights and fog lamps, and a new one-piece roof rack. The interior is equipped and configured a bit better, with new interior fabrics, a gated shifter, a locking glove compartment, and new meter illumination. Standard and optional equipment lists have been expanded, especially on the top LE model. On the LE, a 20-inch wheel-and-tire package, a heated steering wheel, a power-folding third-row seat are newly available. LE models also add new wood grain accents. The Intelligent Key entry and ignition system and a new Bose sound system with third-row speakers are both now standard on LE models and optional on the SE, and a Bluetooth hands-free system is now standard on LE models. The available navigation system has been improved to incorporate XM NavTraffic live traffic information and a Music Box hard-drive storage system, and the DVD Entertainment Package gets a slightly larger, 8-inch screen. Two new exterior colors join the palette: Desert Stone and Timberline.

The 2007 Nissan Armada is largely unchanged from the previous model year. A luggage rack is now standard on the Armada SE, where previously it was not available. It may be hard to believe, but the powerful 5.6L V8 engine gets even stronger for 2007 by an additional 12 horsepower. Horsepower is up from 305 to 317, and torque remains at 385 lb-ft Nissan has also dropped the Armada SE Off-Road model.
