The Nissan Rogue crossover SUV gets some substantial updates for the 2020 model year. The Rogue is the first in Nissan's lineup to feature Nissan Safety Shield 360, which is a suite of active safety assist technology to monitor the vehicles surroundings while driving. Other new touches this year such as a sporty new front fascia and hood design go along with new muscular LED lighting designs and two wild new exterior color additions in Monarch Orange and Nitro Lime.

The Nissan Rogue receives subtle styling upgrades for 2017, with revised front and rear fascias, a "V-motion" grille, and LED boomerang taillights. A motion-activated tailgate is also new. Inside, new materials and a new steering wheel improve the feeling of the cabin. Heated cloth seats and remote engine start are now standard on the Rogue SV, while intelligent cruise control and lane departure warning are now on the options list. Under the hood, there's a new-for-2018 optional gas-electric hybrid powertrain. The system utilizes a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 30 kW electric motor. The system produces 176 horsepower and also includes regenerative braking.

The Rogue SL trim gets several notable enhancements for 2016. A forward emergency braking system has been added to help prevent accidents, while NissanConnect Services are also now standard on the SL. In addition, a Siri Eyes Free now comes with both SL trimmed Rogues as well as the Rogue SV when equipped with the Premium Package.

The Nissan Rogue was redesigned for 2014. For 2015, a push-button Eco mode has been added to the powertrains to help boost fuel economy, while heated seats are now part of the SV Premium Package.

After its introduction in 2008, the Nissan Rogue went on to become Nissan's second best-selling vehicle. For 2014, it receives its first major redesign. The Rogue is all new inside and out, with updated styling and more interior space. Though the new Rogue is not really any bigger than the outgoing model, the wheelbase is longer and the vehicle is taller while the front overhang has gotten shorter. Styling is modern confident and sleek, while the interior has been updated and now features plenty of features; much of it advanced technology that has been steadily trickling down from luxury cars.

Among them, a Premium Edition replaces the previous Premium Package, adding front fog lights and a Bose audio system with seven speakers and a subwoofer. Elsewhere, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and two additional speakers have been added to the Special Edition Package available on S models.

The 2010 Nissan Rogue didn't change much from the 2009 model year. Two new "Krom" editions are newly available, bringing with them, 17" aluminum wheels, unique body treatments, fog lamps, sport exhaust, a spoiler and privacy glass.

The 2009 Nissan Rogue is little changed from 2008, its premiere model year. This year's standard safety equipment includes anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, roof-mounted supplemental curtain bags with rollover detection and active front head restraints. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Rogue a 5-star rating for driver protection and rear side-impact collisions. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Rogue a "Good" ? its highest rating ? for both frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests.
