Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Prices, Specs, and Release Date

Christian Wardlaw | Apr 26, 2021

Ford has announced the prices, specs, and release date for the new 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition. These more powerful versions of the automaker’s electric SUV surpass a Mustang Mach 1 in total power output, accelerate to 60 mph in as few as 3.5 seconds, and have a starting price of $59,900. Ordering starts on April 28, with the first GT and GT Performance Editions arriving in the fall of 2021.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT includes a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive, battery-electric propulsion system. Thanks to an upgraded front motor compared to other Mach-E models, the GT generates 480 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. The drive system supplies 250 miles of estimated driving range, according to Ford, and accelerates the vehicle to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

Additional GT features include upgraded brakes with red-painted calipers, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and 245/45 all-season tires.

Ford tweaks the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition to make a little more torque for quicker acceleration, but this comes at the expense of the total driving range. The automaker says the Performance Edition produces 480 hp and 634 pound-feet of torque, which is good for a run to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The driving range measures 235 miles.

Additional standard upgrades for the GT Performance Edition include Brembo front brake calipers, summer performance tires, a MagneRide adaptive damping suspension, and Ford Performance front seats.

Both versions offer an exclusive Unbridled Extend driving mode. Ford says it provides revised traction and stability control calibration for track use and a new drive system sound for the interior. The company also offers its new BlueCruise Level 2 driving assistance technology for the Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition.

Several colors are available, including Grabber Blue, previously offered only for the Mustang Mach-E Launch Edition. Cyber Orange Metallic is exclusive to these two models.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT price is $59,900, while the GT Performance Edition costs $64,900. Ordering opens on April 28, and Ford plans to deliver the first cars to customers this coming fall.
