For 2024, much of the Kia model line returns with minor updates and light revisions. However, the most significant addition to the Kia portfolio is the arrival of the all-new EV9, a fully electric 3-row SUV that becomes the global flagship of the brand's efforts in sustainability and electrified mobility. The only existing model to undergo significant changes for 2024 is Kia's small crossover SUV, the Seltos. This well-appointed, well-equipped adventurer is now more eye-catching than ever.

In other Kia product news, the brand's iconic Stinger sport sedan and Rio small car end their runs after the 2023 model year. Other changes to individual models are listed below.
Although it competes in the minivan category, the 7- and 8-passenger Carnival's combination of SUV styling, exceptional passenger and cargo volume, and practical convenience features also make it uniquely positioned to compete with 3-row crossover SUV models. For 2024, the Carnival returns as a carryover model with minor packaging changes. Kia removed the all-Auto Up/Down & Safety Power Windows from the EX trim level, but it remains standard for the SX and SX Prestige. The Carnival EX Power Tailgate Delete package (8-passenger) is no longer available.
Kia makes the EV6’s largest battery pack available with the most affordable trim level in 2024, creating new Light Long Range rear-wheel drive and Light e-AWD variants priced between $45,950 and $49,850. The EV6 GT performance model sees a slight improvement in range, up 12 miles from 206 to 218. Lastly, the EV6 now has charge port lighting to make it easier to recharge after dark.
As the first dedicated 3-row EV SUV from Kia, the all-electric EV9 is the new flagship of the brand's global electrification strategy. The EV9 offers space for adventure, premium accommodations, and cutting-edge technology, rivaling ultra-luxury SUVs. The first-class cabin comprises partially recycled materials, and the dual-display cockpit features full digital instrumentation and multiple camera feeds. The second row features available power-adjustable seats with leg extensions, heating and ventilation, and abundant passenger room.
At the top end of the model range, power and performance come from a dual-motor setup outputting 379 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque. The EV9's SUV capabilities result from torque-vectoring dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD), 7.8 inches of ground clearance, and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity. Its standard 800-volt electrical architecture enables ultra-fast recharging on high-speed DC fast chargers, designed to go from 10- to 80-percent charge in under 25 minutes. The EV9 is a strong choice for those shopping for an electrified family road-trip vehicle.
Five years since its last complete makeover, the 2024 Forte arrives with minor updates. The GT-Line trim level now comes standard with Front Collision Alert (FCA) Fusion—a combination of Front Collision Alert-Cyclist (FCA-Cyc), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Highway Driving Assist (HDA), and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC). Elsewhere, the Forte LX and LXS replace one 12-volt outlet with a USB-A charge port. On the color front, all trims drop the Fire Orange and Sporty Blue exterior paints and the gray interior.
Now entering its fourth model year, the 2024 K5 small sedan is a carryover model with only one change: the GT-Line FWD trim adds standard heated front seats. The K5 remains available in four trim levels: LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT.
Entering the second model year of its second generation, the stylish Niro crossover is available in three distinct powertrains: hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and EV. The Niro family of vehicles continues to deliver best-in-class cargo room and a wide array of standard features. However, edits for 2024 are minimal. For greater practicality and utility, Kia added a dual-level cargo floor as a standard feature on the Niro EV and all trims of the Niro Hybrid except the LX. On the color side, Kia drops the Fire Orange Metallic exterior paint from the Niro palette, and the Niro EV Wind trim no longer offers a Light Grey interior color package.
The 2024 Seltos enjoys a sharpened design and mindful upgrades, inside and out. The Seltos has a refined appearance on the exterior with revised front and rear fascias, Star Map lighting, and a smart power liftgate. Within, an optional dual 10.25-inch display with over-the-air updates for navigation and multimedia functions serves as the centerpiece of the modern cabin. With two lively powertrain options, including a 195-hp turbocharged engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, as well as the newly available X-Line trim, this entry SUV appears ready for all types of adventuring.
The gas-only versions of the Sorento get a refresh for the 2024 model year. New front styling gives it a dramatically different appearance from the year before, while the interior boasts a newly available panoramic curved display housing a next-generation Connected Car Navigation Cockpit. New convenience and driving-assistance technologies also debut, such as an updated digital key feature and an enhanced HDA system.
The Sorento lineup also boasts new X-Pro variants with modifications to improve off-roading capability and towing capacity, the latter now up to 4,000 pounds. New paint choices and interior color schemes round out the changes to the 2024 Kia Sorento.
Unlike the gas-only Sorento models, the Sorento Hybrid and Sorento PHEV variants carry into 2024 with minor color changes. They will receive a refresh for the 2025 model year.
The popular urban runabout Kia Soul continues for 2024 with a new EX Designer package. The new package includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a combination of cloth and artificial leather seats, and an Umber Interior Color package. Souls equipped with digital key technology (S, EX, GT-Line) also include a new "sleep mode" that activates 40 seconds after locking the vehicle to help prevent hackers from duplicating the smart key.
Following a complete makeover for the 2023 model year, the 2024 Kia Sportage comes in conventional gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid versions. The 2024 Sportage lineup gets a handful of updates, including new standard LED headlights and second-row seat-mounted airbags. The gas-only SX is no longer available with AWD, the EX trim loses the available heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield upgrade is now exclusive to the X-Pro variants.
The Telluride SUV enjoyed a significant refresh for the 2023 model year. It returns for the 2024 model year with minor exterior styling updates for a more rugged and refined look. Across the 2024 Telluride lineup, amber daytime running lights are new. On Telluride X-Line and X-Pro trims, black gloss replaces dark metallic exterior trim on the bumpers, lower door garnish, grille surround, and headlight bezels.
