As Fiat prepares for an all-electric future, it pares down its 2024 offerings by axing the 500X utility vehicle. That means Fiat’s lineup now consists of a single model—the all-new 500e. The subcompact hatchback is the first all-electric model from Stellantis, which is the parent company of the Italian car brand. See below for details about the all-new electric vehicle (EV).
For 2024, Fiat introduces the newest generation of its Italian-made 2-door hatchback, the 500e. While the 500e is all-new for the U.S. market, Fiat has been selling this version of the tiny, city-friendly runabout in Europe since 2020. While overseas customers can choose from a variety of powertrains, the one available for America is a single-electric-motor version that makes 118 horsepower with an estimated 149 miles of range. Fiat says you can fully charge from empty in 4 hours and 15 minutes with a Level 2 charger and get up to 80-percent capacity in about 35 minutes with a DC fast charger.
At launch, the 500e will be available in a single trim level, RED, and in a single color, red, with red interior accents. Amazon Alexa voice activation drives the EV’s infotainment system through a 10.25-inch touchscreen.
You can expect to see the 500e in showrooms starting in the first quarter of 2024.
