Changes to the 2022 Lincoln Models

Jessica Shea Choksey | Dec 01, 2021

For 2022, Lincoln’s four crossover/SUV lineup receives minor changes across the board. The Corsair, Nautilus, and Aviator each arrive with revised exterior color palettes and numerous equipment and appearance package updates. However, the most significant upgrades go to Lincoln’s largest SUV, the Navigator, which becomes the first model in the brand’s lineup to receive ActiveGlide semi-autonomous driving technology. The Navigator also receives minor front and rear styling changes. All powertrains across the model line are carryover.

Specific changes to the individual models are listed below in alphabetical order.

2022 Lincoln Corsair Changes

Going into its third year of production, Lincoln’s smallest crossover receives minor paint and packaging upgrades for 2022. The exterior color palette adds Bronze Smoke Metallic, Elite Blue Metallic, and Ocean Drive Blue Metallic. Lincoln no longer offers Artisan Blue, Burgundy Velvet, and Iced Mocha.

A new Luxury package on Reserve and Grand Touring trims includes a head-up display and a 13-speaker Revel audio system. Also, the Grand Touring trim combines its Elements and Technology packages into a single Elements Technology package with features such as a hands-free liftgate, Dynamic Bending LED headlamps, and 24-way Perfect Position seats.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Changes

Available in Base, Reserve, and Black Label trims, the Lincoln Nautilus midsize SUV is mostly unchanged for 2022, aside from a revised exterior color palette and minor packaging updates. New paint colors include Bronze Smoke Metallic, Gilded Green Metallic, and Chroma Caviar. The Nautilus no longer offers Artisan Blue, Green Gem, Iced Mocha, Red Carpet, and Chrome Elite Copper. Inside, the Nautilus Black Label receives a new Black Label Flight interior theme.

An available new Premium package (standard on Reserve and Black Label trims) includes 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, universal garage door opener, and connected built-in navigation with voice-activated touchscreen. The Reserve trim also offers an available new Luxury package with a hands-free power liftgate and a 13-speaker Revel audio system.

2022 Lincoln Aviator Changes

The Lincoln Aviator 3-row midsize SUV receives paint color changes and a package content reshuffle for 2022. Bronze Smoke Metallic, Gilded Green Metallic, and Flight Blue Metallic are new additions to the exterior color palette. Iced Mocha, Ocean Drive Blue, and Red Carpet are no longer available. In addition, Lincoln has discontinued the Aviator’s Slate interior trim.

Wireless charging is now standard on the Aviator Reserve and Grand Touring trims, while a head-up display and phone-as-a-key functionality are now standard with the Reserve I and Grand Touring I packages. The Convenience package is no longer available, and its features are now offered separately as standalone options. The Illumination package now pairs newly added LED fog lamps with Adaptive Pixel LED headlamps.

Additionally, a new Monochromatic appearance package offers unique black, white, and gray color schemes, as well as oversized 22-inch wheels and body-color exterior elements. At the top of the range is a new Premium package with 20-inch bright machined aluminum wheels and a panoramic moonroof with power shade.

2022 Lincoln Navigator Changes

Lincoln’s largest SUV, the Navigator, becomes the first in the brand’s model line to offer ActiveGlide, a semi-autonomous system with upgraded intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-centering assistance, and traffic-sign recognition. The technology allows hands-free driving on over 130,000 miles of roadways across the United States and Canada.

Inside, the 2022 Navigator receives segment-first second-row massage seats and a larger 13.2-inch infotainment display screen with enhanced voice recognition. Revised exterior elements include new front-end styling with an updated signature grille, new standard adaptive pixel projector headlamps, and 3D taillamps.
