Genesis builds some of the most visually appealing vehicles around, and its SUVs are no exception. From the all-electric GV60 to the imposing GV80, the automaker’s lineup is stunning from all angles. The range-topping GV80 is getting an update for 2025 that brings updated tech and an even more beautiful GV80 Coupe model.

The GV80 is getting its first update since its release for the 2021 model year, and Genesis says it has sold more than 170,000 units in its short time on the market. Changes to the SUV’s exterior include a fresh grille design and larger air intakes. Chrome accents highlight the sides, and the SUV comes with 20- or 22-inch wheels.
Genesis’ new GV80 Coupe features a dramatic sloping roof and a small ducktail spoiler. Its front end doesn’t look much different from the standard model, as it gets the new grille and air intakes. The automaker hasn’t detailed interior dimensions yet, but you can expect reduced headroom in the back seats due to the roof’s sporty slope.

Both 2025 Genesis GV80 variants have a 27-inch OLED display inside that incorporates auto, video, and navigation functions and features touch-based climate controls. Wireless smartphone charging comes standard, and Genesis says it enlarged the SUV’s cupholders for 2025. A 14.6-inch rear-seat entertainment display is available, along with a Bang & Olufsen stereo, fragrance dispersers, fingerprint authentication, UVC disinfection systems, and a digital key function.
The GV80 Coupe’s interior brings sportier touches, including a flat-bottom steering wheel and exclusive material options to set it apart, with six interior themes on offer. Genesis installed metal grips on the pedals to prevent slipping during spirited driving, and the rear seats recline for a more luxurious passenger experience.

Genesis offers two powertrains for the 2025 GV80. The entry-level engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder making 304 horsepower. An available turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 produces 380 hp. The Coupe is available with those two powertrains plus a new setup that includes the V6 with an electric supercharger for a combined 415 hp. Genesis says the supercharger compresses air twice to produce maximum torque and the quickest acceleration.
Updated safety tech includes second-generation versions of the automaker’s advanced driver aids, including lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, active parking assistance, Highway Driving Assist, and more. The SUV also gets a new digital camera, rearview mirror, and hands-on detection.
