Cadillac's sporty CT5 is now several years into its first generation and in need of an overhaul. It's getting those updates for the 2025 model year, bringing a revised exterior appearance, more available tech, and more safety features.
The car gets a new front-end design with a wider, lower grille that comes in different finishes depending on the trim level, such as the Sport, which brings a black grille and surrounds. Cadillac redesigned the CT5's headlights for the new model year, giving it updated stacked LED light units in the front.

Cadillac equips a range of new standard tech features on the new CT5, including an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, Google Built-in and Amazon Alexa Built-in, and an available 33-inch LED touchscreen. The display offers up to 9K resolution, mounted behind a curved panel oriented toward the driver. A customizable interface lets the driver move apps and configure the display screens as desired. Cadillac moved to Google Built-in for its infotainment, which brings Google Maps, the Play Store, Google Assistant, and more.
There are no powertrain updates in the cards for 2025, and the CT5 rolls into the new model year carrying the same standard turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. It makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The available twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 makes 335 hp and 405 pound-feet of torque. As for the high-performance 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing variants, Cadillac says it will announce details for those two cars at a later date.

Enthusiast-friendly rear-wheel drive comes standard, but buyers can upgrade to all-wheel drive, and the CT5 offers selectable driving modes for snow and ice.
The current CT5 has one recall and two complaints registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not crash-tested the car.

Newly available safety tech includes a blind-spot steering assist system that can help the car veer away from other traffic. Intersection automatic emergency braking is standard, traffic-sign recognition and speed assist are available, and a driver monitoring system is also optional. Buyers can also add General Motors' excellent Super Cruise hands-free driving-assistance system.
As of this writing, Cadillac has announced neither pricing nor a firm release date for the 2025 CT5, but the automaker says the car will land in the spring of 2024. Pricing for the refreshed CT5 will likely get a slight boost. For reference, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 starts at $38,395 before taxes, options, and the $1,395 destination fee.
