At three years old, the Lincoln Corsair is due for an update, and it's getting just the ticket for the 2023 model year. Lincoln recently announced the 2023 Corsair, which brings better tech hardware and software, a fresh look, and ActiveGlide hands-free driving assistance.

The 2023 Corsair has a more prominent grille and updated daytime running lamps that Lincoln says give the SUV a "fresh face and more dynamic, youthful presence." The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Corsair Grand Touring gets a unique satin metallic grille with blue accents, and the entire model line is available with new wheel designs. The new model year also brings two new colors: Crystal Red and a brand-new Lincoln color, Whisper Blue.
Passengers enjoy a refreshed cabin with two available interior themes. The Smoked Truffle theme offers muted medium-dark hues that the automaker says give the SUV a warm feeling inside. The Eternal Red theme brings aluminum accents and red shades throughout that Lincoln says bring warmth and energy.

A new 13.2-inch touchscreen crowns the center stack. The infotainment system runs Sync 4, which offers over-the-air updates, cloud-based apps, and more. The display tops a revised lower center stack with a larger storage bin and an available backlight that creates a star effect. Alexa Built-in hands-free capabilities come standard with a three-year connectivity subscription. The function offers control of smart home devices, navigation assistance, and more.
The Corsair's safety equipment gets a boost for 2023, and Lincoln adds its hands-free driving system as an option. ActiveGlide 1.2 follows the system initially introduced in the 2022 Navigator. It offers hands-free features at speeds up to 80 mph and joins four new driver-assistance features in the SUV's repertoire. They include lane-change assistance, in-lane repositioning, intersection turn assistance, and predictive speed assist. The SUV is also available with an air filtration system that uses a laser sensor to refresh cabin air up to 1.5 times per minute.

Lincoln offered two gas engines in the Corsair in previous model years, but the automaker trimmed the lineup for 2023. The turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder that occupied the middle spot is gone, leaving the 250-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-4 and the 266-hp 2.5-liter PHEV.
Lincoln and the author's speculation are the sources of information in this article. It was accurate as of September 12, 2022, but it may have changed since that date. Always confirm product details and availability with the automaker's website or your local dealership.
