The Macan is a popular model for Porsche, having sold over 137,000 units since its initial release in 2014. The compact crossover has earned praise for its performance and handling over the years, and Porsche says that it has updated the 2022 Macan to make it even more appealing and capable than before. Here are some of the highlights.

All 2022 Macan models benefit from upgraded powertrains that can propel the sporty crossover to 60 mph from a standstill in as little as 4.1 seconds. The engine lineup includes:
Porsche gave the Macan’s base four-cylinder engine a boost of 13 horsepower and 22 pound-feet of torque for the new model year. The Macan S got a significant engine upgrade in the form of the twin-turbocharged V6 that previously sat under the hood of the range-topping GTS model. The GTS now has an even more powerful twin-turbo engine that used to reside in the now cancelled Macan Turbo.
All three engines come paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Porsche notes that its customers consider styling as one of the most critical factors in their decision to buy a Macan. Though the new model isn’t a dramatic departure from its predecessor, the automaker made changes to its front- and rear-end designs. Integrated cooling air intakes and body-color trim pieces highlight the Macan’s nose, while the rear features a new black diffuser. Sport design mirrors and LED headlights are standard, and Porsche offers a whopping seven wheel choices for the vehicle, ranging in size from 19 to 21 inches.
The Macan’s interior updates include a redesigned center console with haptic touch controls, which frees up space for a larger center storage compartment. A new, shorter shifter design further cleans up the space. A 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, along with Apple CarPlay and navigation. Android Auto is unavailable.
All 2022 Macan models come standard with two driver assistance systems, but the vast majority are available in added-cost options packages. Upgrades include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and lane-keeping assistance.
The 2022 Porsche Macan will start arriving on dealership lots in early 2022. Macan prices start at $56,250, which includes a $1,350 destination charge. The Macan S and GTS will come later in spring 2022, starting at $66,750 and $81,250, respectively.
