Changes to the 2022 Alfa Romeo Models

Beverly Braga | Nov 03, 2021

Alfa Romeo sells just two models in the United States—the Giulia compact sport sedan and Stelvio compact crossover SUV. Both received a mid-cycle facelift for the 2021 model year, making 2022 models largely carryovers. Notable updates include a new trim level and more standard safety and convenience features.

2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Changes

The Alfa Romeo Giulia remains one of the best-looking models in its segment. Although not as luxuriously appointed as its sport sedan rivals, its Italian design and motorsports-inspired performance keep the Giulia competitive. For 2022, the Giulia is available in Sprint, Ti, Veloce, and Quadrifoglio trim levels. The Veloce is a renamed Ti Sport.

New standard technologies are added to an already robust list of safety features, including automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise controlblind-spot warninglane-departure warning, and front and rear parking sensors. Alfa upgrades the in-car tech with navigation and wireless device charging for all trims. Other convenience bits also made standard are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an air quality system, and front and rear heated seats. The trunk is even more practical in Ti and Veloce trims with now-standard bag hooks and a cargo net.

Design changes include a new Sport front fascia featuring a darker colored grille, bi-xenon adaptive headlights, and a Veloce-only finned rear diffuser. Additionally, Sprint, Ti, and Veloce trims receive a dark headliner and aluminum sport pedals, while Sprint and Veloce models receive aluminum paddle shifters.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Changes

Like its sedan sibling, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio crossover is visually appealing with matching performance chops. And like the Giulia, the 2022 Stelvio sees a lineup with the same four trim levels (Sprint, Ti, Veloce, and Quadrifoglio) as well as the same newly standard safety and convenience enhancements.

Standard advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) now include automatic high-beam headlamps, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and lane-departure warning, as well as parking sensors in the front and rear. Other standard niceties are navigation, a wireless device charging pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated seats all around.

Design updates include standard aluminum paddle shifters on Sprint and Veloce models and aluminum sport pedals on the Ti trim. The 2022 Stelvio also is more aggressive in appearance thanks to its dark-colored “Scudetto” grille, exhaust tips, skid plate, and roof rails. Stelvio Ti models add the Vesuvio Gray body kit as standard styling.
