What's New For 2020 Honda Pilot

Fresh off of last year’s redesign, the 2020 Honda Pilot adds three new trim levels to its 2019 fleet of five. They include the Black Edition, EX-L with Navi & RES, and Touring 7-Passenger. There are no significant changes for this model year. There is still one power plant with two gearboxes, available in either front- or all-wheel drive, depending on the configuration. Learn more.

Honda Pilot LX

LX

  • The base build includes the standard engine, a 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission and both drive options, delivering 262 pound-feet of torque.
  • Honda Sensing comes with all vehicles, bringing automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control to the fold.
  • All trim levels also have LED daytime running lights, fully automatic headlights with auto high-beam, sliding sun visors, privacy glass, an MP3 jack, Bluetooth, streaming audio, SMS text message function, and a multi-angle rearview camera for selecting the optimal view for collision avoidance.
  • The Pilot has a 111-inch wheelbase, 78.6-inch width, and 7.3-inch clearance with a 3,500-pound towing capacity for front-wheel drive and 5,000 for all-wheel drive.
  • The LX edition starts at $31,550 for the front-wheel-drive option.
Honda Pilot EX

EX

  • The EX ups the ante on connectivity and entertainment with Android-Apple smartphone integration, a SiriusXM AM/FM/HD/Satellite radio, 2.5-amp USB interface, and a CabinControl A/V remote.
  • Additional safety features include a blind-spot warning, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and available Intelligent Traction Management System with two or four modes, depending on the drive.
  • Comfort gets an upgrade with one-touch second-row seats and an eight-way powered-heated driver seat with lumbar support.
  • The EX model starts at $34,430.
Honda Pilot EX-L

EX-L

  • The EX-L comes on board with more comfort and convenience. Features include leather upholstery, a power tailgate, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, driver-seat memory, and integrated sunshades for the second row.
  • Connectivity and entertainment are well-served with the HomeLink Remote System, three USB ports, an 8-inch touchscreen, and available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation.
  • Other optional add-ons include an Advanced Rear Entertainment System, HDMI interface, and 115-volt AC outlet.
  • It is the only trim level with a leather-wrapped shifting knob.
  • The EX-L starts at $37,860.
Honda Pilot EX-L With Navi

EX-L with Navi & RES

  • This trim level has all the bells and whistles of the EX-L.
  • The star attractions are the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice activation, 3D map views, and real-time traffic reports with the Advanced Rear Entertainment System that has a 10.2-inch display.
  • The RES provides audio updates, subtitles, and audio format switching for disabled individuals for improved accessibility.
  • Other amenities include four USB ports, automatic dual-zone front air conditioning, two wireless headphones, rear audio controls, and Blu-ray.
  • The MSRP is $39,860.
Honda Pilot Touring 7 passenger

Touring 7-Passenger

  • The Touring 7-Passenger trim level swaps out the six-speed tyranny for a nine-speed automatic.
  • Standard features include the Advanced Rear Entertainment System, hands-free power tailgate, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice activation, HDMI port, one AC outlet, three-month trial subscription to HondaLink Subscription Services, and courtesy door lights.
  • The audio system gets a welcome upgrade with a ten-speaker premium sound system, 590W performance amplifier, and a digital signal processor.
  • This build is larger with 20-inch alloy wheels and is available in both front- and all-wheel drive.
  • This edition has perforated-heated second-row captain chairs.
  • The starting price is $42,920.
Honda Pilot Touring 8 passenger

Touring 8-Passenger

  • The vehicle doesn’t compromise on space to accommodate an eighth passenger and is available in both front- and all-wheel drive.
  • Like the 7-Passenger version, HondaLink internet access, WiFi hotspot capability, the Cabin Talk In-Car PA System through the included headphones, illuminated beverage cup holders, roof rails,  and blue ambient lighting are standard.
  • Safety gets an upgrade with front-rear parking sensors and auto ON-OFF headlights.
  • The exterior gets some design changes with chrome door handles.
  • The MSRP is $42,620.
Honda Pilot Elite

Elite

  • The Elite is only available in all-wheel drive with the standard Intelligent Variable Torque Management system.
  • The trim level keeps the acoustic glass of the windshield and front doors from the Touring edition, along with LED front map lights and Cabin Talk In-Car PA System through the speakers.
  • Amenities include wireless phone charging, ventilated-heated-perforated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, panoramic roof extending to the third row, heated steering wheel with manual tilting-telescoping, and heated second-row captain chairs.
  • The side mirrors get updated too with memory, auto-dimming, and power-folding functions added to the turn-signal indicators
  • The Elite starts at $48,120.
Honda Pilot Black Edition

Black Edition

  • The Black Edition sticks with the more powerful all-wheel drive.
  • This trim level has the same feature set as the Elite edition with all of the perks.
  • The vehicle replaces chrome accents with black features and 20-inch black alloy wheels on the exterior.
  • The interior complements the cabin with black leather upholstery with red stitching, inserts, and ambient lighting.
  • The Black Edition retails for a starting price of $49,620.
