New models to the 2019 Mercedes-Benz lineup include the A-Class and AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Redesigned models include the CLS-Class, G-Class, and Sprinter. Freshened models include the C-Class and E-Class. Other models see minor, if any, modifications for 2019. Additionally, new 450 and AMG 53 series variants with new engines roll out across several model lineups.

Detailed changes for each 2019 Mercedes-Benz car, SUV, and van model are shown below, listed in alphabetical order.

2019 Mercedes-AMG GT

  • New GT 4-Door Coupe debuts in GT53, GT63, and GT63 S model series
  • GT53 has a 429-horsepower, turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with EQ Boost mild-hybrid technology
  • GT63 features a 577-horsepower, twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 engine
  • GT63 S thunders down the road with a 630-horsepower version of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter
  • All three have an AMG Speedshift 9-speed transmission (TCT in GT53 and MCT in others) and performance-tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive (AWD); GT63 S gets an exclusive “drift mode”
  • Available Executive Rear Seat that folds in a 40/20/40 split in order to maximize cargo space
  • The GT C Coupe gets standard heated and ventilated front seats

2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

  • New entry-level 4-door sedan
  • Initially available as A220 and A220 4Matic models
  • Turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers 188 horsepower
  • 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission is standard
  • First model to get the automaker’s new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, which the company says uses artificial intelligence to adapt to the user
  • Dual-screen cockpit with 7-in. displays is standard, 10.25-in. displays are optional, the latter featuring augmented reality for the MBUX screen
  • Available AMG Line and Night package appearance options
  • Built in Mexico

2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

  • Refreshed C-Class family arrives for 2019
  • Subtle styling updates front and rear
  • New 255-horsepower, turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine in C300
  • AMG C43 adds power for a new total of 385, plus an upgraded AMG Speedshift TCT 9-speed transmission, new Slippery driving mode for AMG Dynamic Select
  • AMG C63 gains AMG Speedshift MCT 9-speed transmission, electronic limited-slip differential, optional AMG Drive Unit with increased steering wheel functions
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, along with LED headlights, new steering wheel
  • A 10.25-in. infotainment system display is standard for all except C300 Sedan
  • Available 12.3-in. digital instrumentation display
  • Enhanced driver-assistance technology with new Active Lane Change Assist and Route-based Speed Adaptation
  • AMG Coupe and Cabriolet add standard wood interior trim
  • AMG Performance Studio package adds more content for AMG Coupe and Cabriolet models
  • AMG Performance Seats now offered with heating and ventilation (and AirScarf neck-warming in Cabriolet)

  • AMG CLA45 adds standard Premium and Convenience option package content and 19-in. AMG multi-spoke wheel design
  • New exterior paint color: Denim Blue

2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS

  • Redesigned for 2019, and initially offered in CLS450, CLS450 4Matic, and AMG CLS53 model series
  • CLS450 is equipped with new turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine featuring EQ Boost mild-hybrid technology and making 362 horsepower
  • AMG CLS53 uses this same power plant, supplemented with an electric auxiliary supercharger to make 429 horsepower, and also includes AMG 4Matic+ AWD with fully variable torque distribution and an AMG sport air suspension
  • For the first time, the CLS-Class seats 5 people rather than 4
  • Equipped with the latest in Mercedes-Benz driver-assistance, collision-avoidance, and infotainment technologies – except for MBUX

2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

  • New E450 models replaces the E400 models, and have a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine making 362 horsepower
  • New E450 4Matic features fully variable AWD system
  • New AMG E53 model with a turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with EQ Boost mild-hybrid technology, AMG Speedshift TCT 9-speed transmission, AMG 4Matic+ fully variable AWD, and AMG sport air suspension
  • Improved interior with revised trim selections and new steering wheels
  • Optional Driver Assistance package enhanced with Route-based Speed Adaptation, now mirroring capabilities in S-Class models
  • E300 and E450 offer 12.3-in. digital instrumentation and a head-up display as a stand-alone option
  • AMG models have a standard 12.3-in. digital instrumentation panel and Burmeister premium sound
  • Surround View technology standard for AMG E63 S Sedan and all E-Class Wagon models
  • Coupe and Cabriolet versions now available with Energizing Comfort package that includes pre-set combinations for climate; seat heating, ventilation and massage; ambient lighting; music; and fragrancing system
  • Night package available for Coupe and Cabriolet

  • Off-roading improvements enhance ground clearance, angles of approach and departure, and water fording capability
  • G550 equipped with twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 engine making 416 horsepower and 9-speed automatic transmission
  • AMG G63 powered by twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 engine churning out 577 horsepower and an AMG Speedshift TCT 9-speed transmission
  • Both models get permanent AWD with three differential locks and selectable low-range gearing

2019 Mercedes-Benz SLC

  • New stand-alone options: parking-assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, Harman Kardon sound system, ambient cabin lighting, analog dashboard clock
  • AMG SLC43 gets a power bump from 362 to 385 horsepower
  • Standard equipment for AMG SLC43 now includes dual-zone automatic climate control, active LED headlights with automatic high-beam operation
  • New exterior paint color for AMG SLC43: Graphite Grey

2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

  • A completely redesigned Sprinter commercial van is on the way
  • Front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel-drive versions to be available
  • Gas or diesel engine choices for U.S. market, the latter a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder making an estimated 190 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque
  • New 7-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission, depending on engine and drivetrain
  • Electric eSprinter models are planned
  • Improved interior with better seats, controls, climate system, and storage solutions
  • Easier to load payload or passengers
  • Seats up to 20 people including the driver
  • New rear seats are designed for easier adjustment and removal
  • New MBUX infotainment system with standard 7-in. touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto
  • Available MBUX 10.25-in. display, natural voice control, wireless device charging
  • New reversing camera, 360-degree surround-view camera, Parking Pilot system, Wet Wiper design, LED headlights are available
  • New internet-powered Mercedes Pro Connect services technology to help simplify fleet and driver management and communications
  • Standard Attention Assist driver-monitoring system and Crosswind Assist stability system
  • Adaptive cruise control, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Drive Away Assist are available
  • Engineered for low total cost of ownership, according to Mercedes-Benz

2019 Mercedes-Maybach
