2009 Solstice

In 2009, Pontiac introduces the Coupe to its Solstice line. The coupe provides Solstice drivers with a vehicle that has all the same specification and options as the 2008 Solstice but gives them the option of having a hardtop instead of a convertible top. Also new to the 2009 Pontiac Solstice, limited-slip differential, ABS and stability control are now standard on the base Solstice.

2007 Pontiac Solstice trims

2007 Solstice

Pontiac's Solstice aims to avoid a sophomore slump for 2007 by adding a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine to its 2.4L Ecotec I4. The turbo boosts power from 177 hp to 260 hp, making it the most powerful two-seat drop top on the market priced below $27,000. The base style continues with a few new options, including a rear spoiler, metallic pedals, and an auxiliary input jack added to the upgraded audio systems. The entry price was raised by $1,600 over 2006 to $21,515.

About Solstice

Introduced in 2006, the Solstice by Pontiac was a brand-new performance roadster. A new turbocharged trim level was added in 2007, offering a 260 horsepower engine, sport-tuned suspension and braking, and enhanced stability control. Nominal changes were made to optional packages for this model year, too. In 2008, OnStar was made standard across all trims, and an upgraded sound system with satellite radio debuted. A brand-new hardtop model graced 2009 showroom floors, with ABS, traction control, stability control and a limited-slip rear differential being offered as standard equipment.
